That second Renault pic encapsulates my disappointment. Wider real wheels but not wider rear track.

I'd make them all a lot narrower to give more room for overtaking.

If they only had two wheels they could be really narrow.

Interesting the Mercedes think overtaking will become harder this year; just what we need!!

So far the Renault is the best looking car, the FI looks atrocious and funny how they have all gone back to the shark fin thing.

And overtake more. And have a couple of riders with huge off-bike personalities. And a media platform making the sport accessible. And 8 different winners in a season. And qualifying where every session is balls-out limit finding. And Spaniards. Lots and lots of Spaniards.

Still got the twattish front wings though. Make them two elements at most, instead of a sculpting competition.

I think the Renault looks a very pretty design with a great colour scheme. Hope it goes as well.

The Renault reminds me of the John Player Special Lotuses.

The front wings look perfect for being wiped off on the back of other cars.

Looking at the Renault's 2nd pic I get the impression of a 1930s cartoon style drawing where the artist was trying to emphasise speed.

Are the wheelbases longer too, the Renault in particular looks like its based on a stretch limo!

If a good looking car is a fast one, Mercedes domination looks set to continue! Looking forward to seeing the RedBull to see if Adrian Newey has any ideas different to the rest.

Shark fins should be banned on aesthetic grounds, as happened to additional wings on the rollover hoops about a decade ago. If everyone is using them, banning them disadvantages no one.

The McLaren livery looks good as an alternative to the silver they used to run.  No idea if the new Honda engine will be up to the task but here's hoping.

There's an optical illusion in all the overhead photos - the bodywork tapers radically towards the end, but the floor gives the illusion that each car is a square box.

Also the length/width ratio is skewed - I read somewhere that modern F1 cars are as long as a Mercedes S Class, but much narrower.

I too like it a lot; the Williams Martini livery is still the best to my eyes.

The Williams livery has enough detail to be interesting yet not too fussy.  Quite a balancing act.  Looking for the red cars today.
