And it looks like it'll be a lot more impressive this time.

http://vghq.net/2011/04/01/leaked...4-in-game-footage-looks-stunning/

There appears to be a Stelvio-esque road in it, which is enough for me.

That looks great, the lighting in particular...  though we mustn't believe everything we see in trailers, Forza 3 and GT5 have taught us this!

I hope they stick with 60fps though!

Not sure if i will get this straight away like i did with 3.  3 was good but lacked any character, and the grid took way too long to complete.

I am very much impressed with the import feature, as it took me ages to make the UK plate font and recently I created the Monster logo.

Some people are worried that the mention of RUF means Porsche has gone. I hope not, as I prefer my Porsches, Porsches.

Had my confirmation email from Game today for my LCE pre-order. They sent scare-mongering emails on Friday saying they hadn't ordered enough copies. A massive relief as you get a decent chunk of extra cars buying the LCE.

Yes and I loved it.

Had a confirmation of shipping this evening, so it could be with me on my day off Wednesday, fingers crossed.

Downloaded the demo last night and had a play for half an hour or so, so far I like what I see, on the christmas list I think.

I'm really pleased just by an Agila being one of the starter cars - to be fair it's the most powerful against the Fox, C107GO triplets, Micra and Chevy Spark.

Hopefully race mods will get it up to around 160bhp sans turbo.

So how is everyone getting on with Forza 4?

I think the cars are more 'twitchy' than in 3 - it seems harder to hold a slide without the car suddenly gripping and spitting you off into the barrier. I suppose it's probably more realistic.

And obviously I like it more since the game has 2 cars in it that I actually own

I love it. Still only Level 37, simply because money is easier to come buy and that means I can buy and shoot more cars for my flickr account.

I think one of the most fascinating facets of the game is how the cars react when peak grip runs out and the car's bite you in a way they rarely did in FM3. I had a fantastic moment in a Ka on Maple Valley, where an errant throttle lift saw it snap on me due to its short wheelbase.

Did you manage to catch it or did you have a Blarno car/barrier interface moment?

I haven't bought it.

I must get it soon (along with a couple other games I've been delaying getting).

You'd be as well waiting for the price to drop now Ben - there's no point in paying full price for a game that's been out for several months.

It's certainly a good game though - a reasonable step on from F3 I'd say.

I saved it. When I went to recreate it so I could record a video, I hit the wall.

Have you driven the Veyron?
If you do it from the 'chase' view you get distracted by the spoiler changing angle as you brake, etc.

At least, that's my excuse for crashing it

I have two Veyrons, mainly because I hate how you can only paint one of the two colours (should have been fixed from FM3) so as a level reward I chose all black so I can have an all red one. Love watching the spoiler. One thing I noticed is how much easier to pilot it is than the F1 above. That car was not designed to cut the air, stay planted and corner!

All go in Forza land. Porsches coming back in a 30-car DLC for 1600 points in May and what appears to be an open world game in the TDU mould called Forza Horizon for Autumn.

I'm massively chuffed with both sets of news.

I'm playing Forza4 to death. Perpetually dizzy from the many hours in the paintbooth!

Nasty mutterings that Forza Horizon will be 30 FPS not 60 like '4'. No tuning facility but painting will be available. I've mixed emotions regarding the game. I want tuning but i really really want the open world driving. Not fussed on the 'festival' premise. I'll probably buy it...

The graphics run at a solid 30, but the physics and controller run at the same rate as FM4. Personally I cant wait for Horizon. I just prefer open road driving to track. Playing TDU2 at the moment but the handling is just wrong. Horizon won't have to try too hard with the Forza engine to best TDU2.

I may be getting an XBOX 360 for nowt pretty soon, so I'm going to give this Forza lark a shot.

Beware, though. I prefer dicking around to actually racing.

Horizon will be ideal for that, as it's on the open road. Forza 4 has the Top Gear test track and a disused airfield for arsing about, too.
