It's that time of the week again.....

Unfortunately I have an exam tomorrow, so it's lots of studying tonight. Hopefully some sort of relaxation after the paper though.

Hope you lot have a better weekend ahead.

It's my birthday tomorrow so we are going to London for a long weekend, nothing planned apart from the London Eye on Sunday and a couple of museums. Might try and get to the Brooklands museum/Mercedes Benz world on Monday.

Working Saturday, boo hoo.

Sunday, Tina wants to go to Thorpe Park as it's the last day of the season there and she wants to get her last adrenalin fix before they close. I may go to the gym first thing but it depends on how my chest is.

Moving away from Shropshire this weekend for the first time in 11 years.  The MOD are still to find us married quarters in Birmingham, so will be in Laura's shared pad for now.  Swapping country living full time for the big city certainly will be interesting.

Apart from that, not a lot.  May catch some of the autumn rugby internationals in town, and Sunday down to watch Gloucester loose to  Cardiff again n the EDF Cup or whatever its called now.

We have a (probably wet) weekend planned in SW Wales, the area west of Carmarthen.  We stayed in Swansea in the Summer for a long weekend and didn't get to go everywhere we wanted (St Davids etc), so are going back for another look.  We won't be building sandcastles on Pendine sands this time though!

A wet weekend in Lllllandudno for us. Steph doing the innaugural Conway half marathon. Starts at the castle then goes round the Gt Orme and back. Steph doing it with two mates.

I will be in a nice cosy pub naturally. We are making a weekend of it as it's Steph's birthday on Monday.

Venturing north of Watford (just) to help my brother in law and his fiance choose wines for their wedding. Hic.

After a couple of months off from writing I've been back on it this week - final polishing of the novel and getting ready for a new round of submissions to agents. Hard work - I've put in over 25 hours since Sunday, on top of a full time job. So looking forward to a little RnR.

Got this month's quiz night at the village hall this evening - hope to do better than last months, when a lot of the questions featured Scottish history. (Wait till its my turn to set the questions again.....)

Saturday I'll be at Red Driver Training all day, continuing my course to become a driving instructor.

Sunday? Loads of tidying and cleaning.....

Yep.  Didn't get in there until 1.45 Sat lunch time though, and they close at 3pm!  I'll still be around the village for bell ringing and mountain bike `club' mind, and would love to move back in 12 months or so.

Babysitting this afternoon and tonight, Jo's at work.

Delamere on the bike tomorrow afternoon, not been since September so I'm going to be a bit rusty. Got a few mates coming round in the evening for beer, pizza and hilarity.

Bugger all planned for Sunday, Jo working in the afternoon.

Going to pick up the E500 from Ironside tomorrow morning as have lost patience with his inability to shift it. Will try again myself but at least I'll get to use the damn thing whilst doing so!

Apart from that going to the fireworks display in Battersea Park with friends tomorrow evening and then off to party in Notting Hill.

Sunday I will have to work as am doing a deal with the middle east, and they of course work on Sundays.

Forgot it was bonfire weekend.  I have a great spot high up just up from my back garden where I can see the tens of miles in either direction, so i can judge everyones displays.

Oh yeah.

I'm avoiding bonfires and fireworks displays like the plague.

Tonight I am having a quiet night in after working a 63 hour week. Tomorrow I will be spending it with my little bro as he is down from uni and trying to fix my new car.  Then later picking up my gf and driving over to my sisters place to watch the boxing.

Sunday spending it with my girl friend, She has a free house and is making things up to me after a " mistake "

For some bizarre reason, we are going Christmas shopping in the morning.

Sunday morning is Rememberance service at the war memorial in town, Johan's first.

Not sure we have anything else planned, which makes a change

We're going to see my sister-in-law on Sunday down in Southampton and also meeting up with my parents before they head back from Dorset to their home in Yorkshire on Sunday, otherwise nothing much planned. Might be silly and go buy some running kit.

I'm off to Llandudno on Monday so might pass Gurney on his way home! Going to avoid the M6 though and head slightly south from the M6toll and through towards Shrewsbury before following the A5 through the mountains towards the A470. So much more interesting a drive.

The A470 is a great road. Should be a good drive.

You should try the Evo Triangle whilst you're there.

Well we'll have to see, I've got rather a lot of paperwork and reports to write up. Of course I could just spend the day spanking the Focus and work through the night!  I'll look out for signs for the A543 and see what the time is when I pass it.

Spent 14 of the last 17 days at work so a day off today has been a very pleasant change.  Especially as the last 2 to 3 weeks at work has been absolutely shit.  Cleaned the interior of the 260 with some Autoglym stuff and it's come up looking like new.  Very nice!  After a wash though I've found just how badly the paintwork needs sorting out - claybar required and a serious polish and waxing regime is needed soon.  It's a shame it has been neglegted in that respect.  The Verso is the same.

Been to a bonfire and fireworks in the neighbouring village.  One of the first fireworks went off into the crowd but as far as I know no one was injured, thankfully.  Madness.  Then, Evan was really unimpressed by the noise of the fireworks, so we left after about 20 mins.  It's difficult when your 13 year old really wants to go but you fear for how it may upet your 5 month old.  Still, we gave it a try.  Went home and now enjoying a bottle of red.  Much better!

Sunday - www.two-sixties.com meet at Coventry Museum of Transport.  I'll post some pics.

I had a ticket to go but sadly didn't feel well enough to go today.
Was it any good, between the showers?

Was going to go to local fireworks displays on Saturday night to take some photos; went out for a long walk in the morning as it was such a glorious day, but the cold and sore throat made me stay in during the evening.  At least I have been well rested this week-end !

Roll on next week-end, Lord Mayor's Show in London on Saturday. Hope it's dry
