What sort of car was this - any ideas?
Oh, btw, the driver had already abandoned ship before most of this damage was done....

It looks like it was an estate (judging by the shape of the upper part of the rear door?)
And by the shape of the rear lights... a Vauxhall Vectra C? _________________ Remember - A gym without chalk is a heath spa... |

Were it a Vectra, wouldn't be able to see the drive shafts? So, not close, I'm afraid. And it's not/wasn't an estate _________________

Ha! So you were paying attention at Cowdenbeath! For you are right - it is a Mark 2 Granada saloon.
Here's the 'before' picture - Buxton raceway, 2004. Alex Ramsey's Granada, from The Mob which is a mainly-Scottish team.

I will find the 'before' pic and post it up.... |
Of course I was paying attention
Not like there was much else to look at (Cowdenbeath girls, yuk) plus I realised I was in the company of someone with considerable years of expertise |
