Did you get it, Tim?

I've had to work around the Mac compatibility issues and shoot mine with my camera from the screen. It's not ideal quality-wise, but if it means getting the shots, it's worth it.

One taken with my camera from the TV (243mph on the Mulsanne Straight)...

And one now I know how to access my images by searching for my gamertag (cropped from photomode)

Yeah I got it. That's where I've been the last couple of days

It's pretty good so far.

If the Alfa Brera (I won it for some race or other) really sounds like that without a sports exhaust I'm going to blag a test drive

I know what you mean. It sounds epic in-game. I like taking it around the Rally di Positano and hearing it sing through the numerous tunnels.

I've not done that yet - I'm just playing through some of it on the season mode.

Just did an all Peugeot race - everyone in boggo 206GTIs except me in a tuned 207 S2000 rally car thing.
It wasn't a fair fight despite me busting the engine and losing the front bumper due to running into the car ahead off the line.

I'll be having a look at what cars are available later.

Is the colour palette broken on your copy of the game Matt?

It seems a bit easier to amass money in this version than F2.
Is that right or is it that the cars you can buy are more expensive to compensate?

Well my xBox got the infamous red ring of death over the weekend

Mrs Tim is hopefully getting a replacement in Dundee today.

I suppose I shouldn't complain as the machine is over 3 years old and gets used for watching dvds as well as playing games.

Still, if it was a car and it expired after 3 and a bit years I might be less impressed.

The computer cars manage that - a Bora flipped over after hitting a wall in one of the races, right into my path

Oh well. This time of the year is when all the games come out, and my wallet empties.

I already have on order Football Manager 2010, and look to add Forza 3 and FIFA 10 to the list, hopefully in time for Christmas.

Not any sooner though, otherwise I'll never get through my school semester...

Woohoo.
I managed to get a Saab 9-3 on its side in the middle of the track

Couldn't get the game to rewind far enough though so had to restart and sadly didn't get to see a replay.

Just as well it was on the first lap

I like that.

It also explains why, whenever I'm online with the xBox, you appear to be in the paint shop

It tells you that!? I knew it mentioned what game you were on, but I didn't realise it was that in-depth.

Indeed it does,  I meant to say the other night actually that I liked the T-Shirt you were wearing while playing!

Somebody pointed out to me that the Insignia VXR is credited in the back of the FM3 manual and a DLC pack featuring 10 'late-model' cars is out on the 8th. Would be a pretty good bet it's in there. The new Audi S4 has already been confirmed.

I got my Forza 3 today. But unfortunately I have exams the next couple of weeks, so it'll just have to wait.

Ahh, the agony...

Forza 3 is on the Christmas list, I completed COD in a couple of days, it's a bit too short but very good, the Special Ops are brilliant.

I have borrowed MW1 from a colleague...  (as had never played it)  I have got to the SAS mission where you have to get the "injured" guy onto the helicopter near the Ferris wheel...

The re-spawning enemies are a nightmare...

The first half of that level is one of the best designed levels ive ever played on any games, ever.

Can't remember much about it.
I must've just cruised straight through that bit with no problems. Or something.

Question:

For those who bought the Forza 3 Limited Collectors Edition, how long does it take to install the additional content?

I'm trying it now, and it's taking ages.

Does anyone know if on Forza 3, if your doing the races in the list mode rather than the season mode, do you still get the achievements for the seasons if you complete each block?

I would think so, but I'm not sure. I've only begun fiddling with it.

I need to add TimR too, although it appears that my XBox Live account has expired. Will take a while to get it back on.

No, I believe the Season achievements are unique to that mode.

Glad I don't care for achievements, as it means I can do what races I can be bothered to do at the time. I felt season mode was far too fragmented.

I was just working my way through the race list.

I get the impression the achievements are easier/more common than in Forza 2.

They must be. I've racked up more of them in six weeks than I did with 18 months of FM2, as can be seen on my profile.

Finally splashed the cash to 'replicate' my Astra...

Loving some of the new DLC cars. This XFR didn't stay red for long; it's now the colour of my Dad's with his number plate.

Ah.

Anyway I did a bit of mucking in the decal shop myself,a and managed to do a pretty nice (by my reckoning) job of the M5 Ring Taxi.

When my XBox Live comes back on in the next week or so, I'll post the pics.
