Seems like the noise police are after Spa now.

Why is there no application of common sense in situations like this?

A simple question would suffice :-

Was the noise source there when you bought your house?

If the answer is yes then tough shit.
You should've done your research better before forking out tens of thousands of pounds/euro.

'cos it's all to do with politics and, as we all know, politicians are totally devoid of such 'luxuries' as common sense. It's a prerequisite for becoming a politico in the first place.

I thought that the noise issue had reared its ugly head a few months back, and had been over-ruled, allowing racing to continue.
