More of a 2-into-1-into-2-into-1 on an Impreza!

I've never got the pink badge thing on STIs, is there a sensible reason for them?

I wish I could understand Subaru's design ethos (or a lot of other Japanese manufacturers for that matter) but I think it will be one of those "because it just does" situations.

Do you remember the Seat Cupras when they first came out - they were all a horrid shade of "nick-me" green or yellow to coin a phrase of whoever at Top Gear reviewed them at the time.
