So there wasn't any Luxury category cars at the Dollar depot in Miami, so after a very long wait in the heat, I allowed them to give me something I didn't really want. Then, when I got outside and realised exactly what it was, I really, really didn't want it!!
I tried to change it the next morning without success, so decided to stick with it, even though the fuel consumption is going to kill me. It's actually very good for the kids and has plenty of space....
At least I can now utter the phrase 'eat my carbons weenies', but it will be when they are being blasted away by the noise, rather than the straight line performance
Any ideas? _________________

In answer to the first two questions, no and sort of but not a Dodge Ram!
I wouldn't even have driven an E350 off the lot!
This has a 6 speed auto, selectable 4WD, does 0-60 in 8 secs and makes a decent noise. _________________

What an amazingly accurate guess
It's a 2010 Suburban 1500 LT 4WD, registered on the 6th October (the day before I picked it up) and it had 7 miles on the clock.
It looks exactly like this one.
Whilst rubbish by our standards, the view out is excellent and it has a separate rear aircon system which is ideal as it very hot right now. It's about 92-93f in the day with high humidity and the low overnight is 83f.....
Not having leather seats it probably a good thing as well, but it has all the essentials such as cruise etc as well as XM Radio, electric seats and a few other things.
I've not tried out the 4 wheel drive system yet (it has low range as well), but I will find somewhere to give it a go!!
The 5.3 litre 330hp V8 sounds quite good with the nearside windows down as it has a rear side exit exhaust (drainpipe). It has cylinder deactivation, the instant mpg reading says V8 to the side of the mpg number and when you lift off and coast from a reasonable speed, it changes to V4. That doesn't happen all that often though..... The 6 speed auto is also surprisingly modern, it downshifts when you're slowing down and has a full manual mode, although that's operated by a rocker switch on the gear selector arm thing, so probably more to do with towing that 'sporty' driving!
Mrs M hates it with a passion _________________

| Goes a bit for something so big, though. At least it's only whilst you're on holiday. |

It's less than $2.50 / gallon (US), which is about £1.50. It should cost about $50 or £30 to fill the bus up and it will have done around 500 miles so it's cheaper to run a 2.5 tonne bus with a V8 than it is a small diesel at home. _________________
