Pardon my photo-whoring, these are off the 20D. I've read a few times that digital doesn't do monochrome like film cameras can, but it's my aim in life to get digital photographs that look like film. However I feel my noir leanings might make that impossible.
Tis a shame after walking up the hill that this church was having renovation work.

Nothing wrong with those as far as I can see. Mono conversions can look great in digital or film as long as you get enough contrast in the image. Saying that Mrs DB used an ISO1600 mono film in her old Practika and the prints looked brilliant. _________________ It's so cold right now that I'm thinking of catching gonorrhoea just for the burning sensation. |

I like those pics, Matt.
For me, black and white needs to be fairly stark with the contrast boosted. I must play with it a bit more often in Elements 6. _________________

More mono, although I was shooting colour this afternoon in Brixham. These are off the G10, using built in mono/sepia mode.
