And now there are two Mercedes I like.

This and the CLS.

You can put the rest in landfill, dreadfully dreary.

Slightly odd-looking from some angles but I like a lot!

Looks much better in silver than that metallic red.

I think it's a bit too fussy, especially at the front.

For some reason I see a hint of Chrysler Crossfire in the SLS's side at that angle!!! The front end looks oddly proportioned too.

I didn't expect to like it based on spy shots etc, but that does lookm exceptionally cool - in a sort of a Batmobile way . I don't know why, but in red it reminds me of  The Crimson Haybaler from Wacky Races

I like the front view.

The front 3/4 view in the top post is a bit awkward.

Can't agree with Racing on the colour - but then, I simply detest silver on a car now....

I don't usually like silver either but it suits that.

Like the concept, and the drive sounds ace if CAR are to be believed (and why wouldn't they) but the detailing over the finished product is poor.

It is big for a two-seater: my only real objection to it.

For once, I'm lost for words.

Not astounded by it's beauty, I'm just struggling to find blocky, chunky ugly things to compare it to.

It must be a taste thing - a like of blocky things vs pointy things. I love that, whereas I find things like F430s hideous.

I find most Ferraris hideous, too.

I agree with you on the F430 but I'm quite ambivalent about that Merc. It looks like a mash up of a Mk1 Dodge Viper and classic Merc Gullwing 300SL with current Merc styling cues grafted on. It just doesn't do anything for me but I don't hate it either.

Sometimes I wonder if some modern cars are actually styled using Photoshop to cut and paste old designs together.

Oh come on, it's nothing like a Dodge Viper, other than the vaguest sense of general proportions. The detailing is in a different class.

It does look better in silver.

I still fail to see whats so impressive about someone taking a 300SL and making it uglier.

No, no and thrice no!

It does, however, look better in mid-air!

How about if they'd dropped it?

Maybe that's why they had the doors open while craning it up?

Would it fly in that configuration?
