Sounds like the Multiair engines are pretty good.
Pity for the folk who've already bought a MiTo though.

I might go back and have another test drive when they make it to the showrooms.

"The flagship Multiair Mito will be the new 167bhp Coverleaf. ".

Sounds like the sort of car Adam and Eve might drive.

Good grief

It's good to see and will obviously be the pick of the range but I am dying to see what this two cylinder MultiAir motor is like. That could really shake things up in the 'Green sector'.

Yeah MultIAir was designed by FPT so it's an Improvised Electronic Device.

Still wary of 'Customer development' if you know what I mean.

Perhaps 9/9/9 was a day of cosmic shift after all - Autocar liking an Alfa.

Sounds like a heck of an engine. I'm still trying really hard to like the front and front 3/4 view but still struggling. Is the Cloverleaf lowered v the standard model? The side profile is way better.

And the interior, Alfa leather and all, loks like a good place.

Nobody has actually said it's lowered but it does look so.

It's quite plainly a Marmite car on the looks front. Hasn't stopped it from selling like hot cakes, now outselling the Mini in Germany.

It's a pity for your supposition that the article is dated 8/9/09.
