Thanks Dr. H. I had to snatch it from the jaws of defeat as the camera was resting on my knees at the time and the exposure was about a second.

A couple from last weekend

Not quite a duck, but.........

Ugly bug, nearly at the ball!

And a couple of the dogs after they'd been for a swim!

Is that first dog a full spaniel or a "sprollie".

Phoebe

The stamina and err... mentalness of both breed make for a very energetic but loving dog. (That's what I keep telling myself anyway).

Riley (first one) is a Sprocker ~ 1-quarter Springer, 3-quarter cocker.

Bodie is a New Zealand Huntaway X Collie, which is still quite rare over here. He has the "coweriness" so many collies have, sadly, and is very timid around people he doesn't know.

So much as look at Riley the wrong way, though, man or dog, and he WILL have you!!

BTW, Phoebe is gorgeous! Bit of a mad look in her eye, though!!

That's unusual behaviour for a spaniel.  Phoebe will bark like hell at men like a dog four times her size then run and hide behind me before deciding to lick them to death or not.

She is completely paranoid and so full of energy she never, ever stops but the most loyal dog I have known.  She will sit by the car for hours at the stables just in case I dare go somewhere without her.

I think you've misunderstood there, Mark - Bodie is the big 'un (second), the Collie X Huntaway.

Riley is your typical nosy, greedy, messy, friendly in-your-face spaniel - full of fun and it's only because of him (we are convinced, plus their castration at 6 months old!)) that we didn't have to get Bodie put down. He was getting way too aggressive with other dogs, and that was starting to move to people - couldn't have had that. Still, as I said, he's a terrific dog now, and will only growl etc. if he perceives Riley might be in trouble!

My friend Jon singing in his band Roadhouse Bound. I like the slight motion blur on his face, as it gives it that powerful, screaming feel.

I forgot I had put the camera briefly into JPEG, so wasn't recording RAW as normal and at 800 ISO, manual focusing and without flash, very few were salvageable.

Here's a signboard detailing our city Christmas light-up. Other than the sheer anal-ness of it all, look who's organising it!

I presume we have The Hoff and Pam Anderson on the committee?

Messing about for a project for college, I found the picnik website and did this.

It's cropped to work better with what I'm planning, but I love the classic look to it.

"S11 AJS"

A nice plate but mine is easier for me to remember.

Years ago I wanted an AJS bike, I don't suppose that anyone else is old enough to remember them.

Bottle of notes...

"A lattice-like steel structure in the shape of a bottle set an angle in a bed of bark chips. The bottle has a steel 'cork'. On close
examination the 22mm thick lattice proves to be formed of a hand-written message (the artist’s) which has inside it another hand-written
script (that of Coosje van Bruggen, the artist’s wife) arranged in a spiral. The bottle, the inner text and the cork are all painted in
polyurethane enamel - white, blue and black respectively. The outer text is taken from the log of Captain Cook’s first voyage to the South
Pacific in 1768. It reads, ‘We had every advantage we could desire in observing the whole passage of the planet Venus over the Sun’s
disk’. The inner text is from a 1987 poem, 'Memos of a Gadfly', by van Bruggen about her childhood in Amsterdam: ‘I like to remember
seagulls in full flight gliding over the ring of canals.’ Appropriately, the sculpture is sited beside a small ornamental lake in a new,
centrally-located park."

I'll give you striking but I think Concorde was more beautiful.

One of my own favourites was the XB-70, which never went into production.

The P-82 (later to become the F-82) twin-mustang is my personal WWII favourite.

I converted two 1:72 Airfix models to this when I was a kid - turned out not too bad for a 12-yr old!!

Some from a rather foggy walk with the dogs this afternoon.

I was a little miffed the fog had appeared at first, but (some of) these turned out alright IMHO.

Looks like you've caught a dust bunny? Left of centre and visible in 3 of the 4 shots.

Good shots though. I was tempted to go out with my camera this evening but I was just too tired.

Buggeration! How I didn't notice that when I was processing them is beyond me!

I'll leave them now, but must check my lens/sensor tomorrow.

I think that it's highly unlikely that it'll be on the lens as it would need to be massive, I think it's more likely to be on the sensor.

If you have a rocket blower that should maybe be the first thing to try.

That first shot is excellent.

Right, had a go at cleaning Mr Dust-bunny today (after I took these shots though!   ). Still, we'll see what happens tomorrw at "Cars of the Stars"!

A few from today, when we took the dogs round Loch Ard forest again.

I particularly like this one.....

..... although this is a close second.

Lastly, the fog that had followed us around all day!!!
