Kodu, a 400 MS points game builder for the 360. Looks like fun.

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/02...kodu-microsofts-diy-game-builder/

It's on UK XBL under the Community Games section in the Game Marketplace.

Several SUVs and luxury sports saloons have been revealed today.

A zip file at the bottom of this link has a set of nice pictures.

I haven't shown the front as it looks awful even in a game...

As impressive as that is, the wheels look wrong for me, they are proud of the body where they should be inset slightly.  It makes it look like a toy rather than a "real" car!

Still a nice addition to an already impressive roster of cars...

They used that $300,00 dollar scanning machine, so it seems odd that the wheels are proud. Maybe they've fiddled with the set-up in game, especially as it oversteers so readily in the video.

Not in game (as the Forza 3 footage is) though...

I had a strong feeling the 458 was going to be in FM3 when it was revealed, because they used animated footage of Mugello in the first video and it had only been in Forza before that as far as I know.

Don't buy NFS Shift by the way. The controls are broken out of the box and whilst the tuning solutions on the web help, they don't make a Veyron drivable with 15 others attempting to kill you on the Nordschleife. Bloody hateful game.

Forza 3 Demo is great so far ( I have only had a couple of goes though)...

The 911 RSR is a very "biddable" car with all the assists turned off,  I am impressed!

It seems a touch easier than Forza 2 perhaps, or maybe that is because the "feel" of the game is better?

Oh, it looks great too!

Love the demo. The Mini gets a little out of hand on the downhill s-bend before the hairpin if you lift off the throttle, whereas the Evo remains planted pretty much throughout. The R8 is a live-wire for a 4WWD, too.

The Audi is indeed a little lairy...   I just pipped your time though!

(though no doubt you will get that back PDQ)

You haven't set a time with the RSR yet?

Good fun, shame there is no system-link in the Demo!

I wasn't particularly serious in the demo - I kicked the handbrake around the last corner on lap 2 for shits and giggles!

I dug out my copy of Forza 2 in anticipation of the new one coming out.

Didn't realise there was a playable demo out. I must have a go of it over the weekend.

Oh, and TimR, can you let us know your Gamertag so you can join in the "unofficial" MF lap time competition.

Surely the quickest way for Matt is sideways under power.
It's just what happens in the next 250 yards that may be a problem

I brought NFS Shift the other day and I like it, I cannot vouch for the online experience because I don't do online gaming. But for once the production cars actually feel fast as oppose to only feeling fast when you have some Skyline with about four turbo's like in previous NFS games.

The cars are fun to drive, the graphics are good and the track choice is decent. I currently have a BMW 135i M Sport in career mode. The only aspect I dislike about the game is the controller settings (for PS3 at least), their is only a choice of three configurations - no custom setting allowed.

Still, I haven't brought an NFS game for years and this was a pleasent surprise and a good game in its own right.

I just tried the DEMO, and played it enough to unlock the Zonda hoping it would be better than the crappy handling cars up to that point...  but no!

The handling model is indeed shite, and although it perhaps looks more "realistic" than the bright shiny Forza3 DEMO, the handling was not a patch on it.  Also the sub 60fps framerate is noticeable.

I am going back to playing Forza3 and maybe some TrialsHD!

Its only 19 days til Forza3, me and my mate both bought 360s for FM2, so were sitting waiting for 3 so we can race each other to finish.

Also, I got Colin Mcrae DiRT2 the other week. The Grafix and damage models are very good, but theres a bit to much driving raid trucks for my liking, and a few to many *cool* Americans

Not enough mention of Colin imo...

The handlings not made as easy as say GRID, but its not too bad. I just cant do the stuff I used to do in CMR2005.

It also nice driving against real people (albeit racers you will never of heard of until you use Google) who react to you, and talk to you, although I can imgine it will get repetive.

All in all so far its a good game, im only experiancing slight buyers remorse over the $109 price..

I've been battering my way through the bits of Forza 2 I hadn't done - all the long distance races and the arcade stuff.

Dunno if any will carry over to FM3 though.

Has anyone got some laptimes for the various cars in the FM3 demo that I can have a go at?

If you play the DEMO you can change the leader boards to only show people on your friends list.

I think I have a 1:04.?? with the Porsche 911 RSR from memory?

Have you seen the most difficult settings?  No ABS or TC, which is suicide.  But worse than that, manual transmission with a clutch!

Yup, my time is set with all the assists off, barring the clutch (manual transmission)...

It is much a much better game that way!

I turn off the Stability control, but you need abs and tc when your driving something thats rwd pumping out 500hp.  I do anyway.  I think if you had a wheel with pedals if might be easier.

I have the MS wheel, but not set it up for the DEMO yet, I will when the full game comes out I expect.

Finesse man!!!

Its too much to concentrate on, when your not in the car, doing everything with your hands is not how your meant to drive a car!  If you kick my arse a bit i'll get some gold membership, perhaps we can have a mini motorforum tournement when it comes out?  Must be a good half dozen at least on here with 360's.

Forza 3 with all controls off bar ABS for me. I quite like the clutch, too, so I'll probably use that in career mode this time, rather than auto with STM and TC on.

It seems to be working for you Matt, I can't beat that lap time of yours without trying switching on the ABS!

Times with the 911 RSR at time of posting

1) 1:04.008 - motorforum (Matt)
2) 1:04.339 - MELIAMMA ("him")
3) 1:09.153 - DradusContact (unsure who that is...)

No time from TimR or Pete as of yet...

By the way, is anyone's GAMERTAG "Sky Shadow 1800" on here, I have a friend request from them, but don't like to add people unless I know who they are?

My children use the Xbox, so please excuse my slight paranoia...

Heh, I saw I was slightly behind you, so I went back and tried the lap again. I'm not usually competitive!

I've already got a couple of paint ideas in my mind to create and sell in my storefront. Can't wait.

My name is Mat its no secret

I didnt realise the scoreboard for the demo went on live, might have to try a bit harder tonight!  Quite excited about potentially having some forum races.  A destruction derby, 'last man standing' type race could be funny

Can't get near the Xbox as the Mrs is playing Halo 3 ODST online against her little brother at the moment

Still, it gives me time to catch up on some internet porn.

And cars.
