Don't know if anhone played this in their younger days,but they have released it as a web browser game (so even you poor mac users might be able to play) and it is excellent.All you need to do is register,install a small plug in and hey presto one of the finest fps games ever free and in your browser.

I have been on it, I was in Quake Clan when I was younger on BT Wireplay...

We used to play deathmatch on the network at college. 16 player quakestick frenzies, pineapple lobbing and general arsing around.

I might give it a go, must be at least 10 years since I played Quake. I upgraded to Unreal Tournament and never looked back....

I got beaten, just, in the beginner practice thing, but I was playing on the laptop without a decent mouse. This has now been remedied and I'm going to give it another go.

Can you start your own deathmatch games, just for you and your mates? I don't mind playing over tinternet, provided no friendless knobhead frag-monkeys get involved and start wiping the floor with everyone.

A motorforum fragfest would be amusing.

I managed to cook and eat a bowl of rice whilst waiting for a game to load, then my impatience took over and quit.
