Ah; them was the days. My first bike race was about 1976 and some bloke called Sheene but the first one I remember the most (because I was in bed ill watching it live on my 14" TV that I been given for christmas) was Sheene in the wet in ZA in 84. He started LAST and finished third in the pissing rain on a 2 years-out-of-date bike. Quality stuff.
Looking back in Motocourse from the early 80s bike racing was all a bit more "man and a van" back then, particularly the smaller classes. Even multiple champion Angel Nieto looked like a gypsy setting up camp at some of the races. Mind you, the state of the circuit facilities was just like a war zone.
