Well, I split the zip on my second Spyke waterproof oversuit (first one the zip broke and the second suit was FOC replacement) so I decided to get myself and armoured jacket and use the dodgy pair of overtrousers I used to use on a bicycle.
But what a jacket: Dainese gore-tex thing that is new this year. Armour on shoulders; arms and elbows and pocket for the G2 back protector. Utterly waterproof; utterly comfortable; removeable liner; resizeable sleeves; removeable collar insert and a zillion waterproof pockets.
Luvverly bit of kit. _________________ Call the fire brigade, call the firebrigade......

I just replaced my four-year-old Hein Gericke jacket, whose zips had begun to give up, with a nice Alpinestars Gore-Tex job. Similar to yours, I think. Totally waterproof, in-built armour on elbows, shoulders and back.
My Hein Gericke armoured, padded, Gore-Tex trousers are still going strong. I love that they go over my jeans so I don't need to get changed when I get to work. _________________ I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying. |
