I stopped after I got my Veyron. It is rather boring now.

I even went to free play and drove every single car there is.

Then you have played black ops. I played an hour of it last night and it was the same game. The level we were doing had you against the clock fighting your way into a russian base to stop a millise launch. Sound familiar much?

You've got Black Ops?

Can you post a decent ( ) review of it?

For example I heard the maps are bigger - is this true?

Thanks.

Was speaking to a mate at the weekend and he's got Black Ops.
In fact, he got it delivered on the 2nd day of release.

Unfortunately for him it's meant to be a christmas present from his wife and she's taken it off him to be held over until December 25th

Amanda has threatened this a few times, this year red dead came out a few days before, but she always relent.  I can hold a grudge/be in a mood for a loooooooong time

I got NFS Hot Pursuit on Friday and it's pretty good. Online is a bit hectic, but good for banter.

Looks nice, thought the church looks a bit 'cell shaded' to me.

I've gone back to PGR 4, its not as realistic as Forza, but i like the fact that most of the races are in cities.  I love thunderings down the Brooklyn Bridge at 200+, its got that fun factor forza is missing.

This was me doing a lap of the ring in the snow(!) in some sort of none street legal viper.  Pretty sure if you had such a car you wouldnt not actually risk taking it round the ring in the snow, and if you did, you probably would be dead, but regardless its a decent game i need to finish off.

I've seen a couple of mentions about the game being short but I think a massive part of the appeal of COD is playing it online - more so than playing it on your own at home.

In addition there are always people who simply run through the game as fast as possible while others take their time to 'mop-up' all the opposition and find any hidden secrets/achievements.

I'm going to buy PGR4 again at some point.

Definitely agree about speeding down the Brooklyn Bridge.

PGR4 is great fun, just turn on and have fun, it's not too serious.

Very fancy.

I don't like the carbon weave on that Viper though. IMO it should be symmetrical.

For PGR just take a picture and press blue to upload to PGR on demand, in fact it even asks you if you want to upload it after you took it.  You can look at them at pgrnations.com

Forza is pretty much the same but its forzamotorsport.net

Swiped a copy of Black Ops and Medal of Honour from my mate who's xbox has been sent away for repair so got about 3 weeks to complete them.  I thought it was RROD but it turns out he knocked the shelf his xbox was on and it fell, knocking the laser out of alignment.  Its destroyed his Assasins Creed Brotherhood disk.

I was reading about how delicate the disc reader is on the 360 and how it's very easy to damage a disc just by moving the unit.

Ibiza and Oahu from the first game this time around. Should be fun.

Just picked up WRC at Morrisons for 15. Glad I waited. I'll give it a spin on Thursday, as it's my day off.

Wheeee!

I'm really enjoying WRC. I've just completed the bottom tier and used the Fiesta R2 for five of the six races, and the C2 for its one-make championship.

I'm more consistent in the Fester, but the C2 feels so much more lively and enticing.

I've discovered that the perfect car for the Class F superspeedway challenges on Forza 3 is the BMW X5 XDrive 48i.

It's not too shabby on the Class F Fujima Kaido bits as well.

Maybe because it became less funny and, as usual, the main characters became intensely annoying and it was the lesser seen ones - such as the janitor - that were worth watching it for.

Morrisons are doing Dirt3 for 29.99 for anyone tempted.  Must admit it looks very good, not played any of the others though.

I only messed about on it yesterday, but it's good fun already. The Mini 1275 is a lovely bit of kit.

I got it at Morrisons as I doubt it'll be that price for long.

I don't use cockpit view, simply because they don't feel right to me. I've seen replay from in the cabin which is mounted between the two passengers and your avatar is dangling from the rear-view mirror.

I'll try it next time I'm on.

Got myself a pre-owned PSP today and a copy of EA Replay, which has Road Rash 1, 2 & 3 on it. I'm still waiting for some bright spark at EA to realise a new game in the series would probably be a massive hit.

It also has Desert and Jungle Strike, so all in, some great Mega Drive nostalgia.

It says 1992 on my EA compilation, but I'm sure it was 1991. Regardless, as a series it's not been bettered.

I'm very close to knocking together an idea and starting an internet campaign via somewhere like joystiq...

I've been watching some youtube clips of the Barryboys mob playing Forza online. General chaos and destruction with a bit of racing in the mix. Looks fun, but I don't have the means of playing it.
