Is Benchmark Ring the speedway or the big open space with a 'track'?

If it's the 'track', the AI follow the route, but the whole course counts as track, so you can take the shortest route around the barriers and win easily in anything remotely powerful over enough laps. I use it to make Cr84k a time using R1 cars in a private online lobby - me versus 7 hard AI.

I take Ring to mean the speedway.

The track is nice for Playground sessions, like Tag.

I am playing red Faction Guerilla at the minute, its got the most advanced physics engine i have ever seen.  drive a car into a wall and it will smash through it, depending on the speed you hit it, how fast your going, etc.  the same is usefull for attacking a building, instead of running in the front door, just drive a car into the side of it and get out inside.  Its awesome!

I meant the speedway thing and I've only ever been on it either on my own or against my bro in law.
I don't recall seeing a track free open space anywhere yet, I must go and check that out.

I ordered a copy of Sega GT 2002 today from CEX as it has an Astra Coupe in it. Only £1.50, to boot.

Despite claiming they had 1-3 copies in several CEX stores across the country, they didn't have one to send me. Hopes = Dashed.

I have got a copy of it somewhere, box with my original xbox in the loft.  It must be next to worthless now, surely you can find it on ebay?

I have that game.

Was fun during the early infancy of the XBox, but Forza has spoilt me now.

I had that game too but you'll probably find it frustrating compared with Forza or GT as I think the vehicle dynamics weren't all that great.

It was about a tenner on eBay.

Tim, I had it back on the old Xbox, but didn't realise or appreciate its inclusion at the time.

I was trying out the Forza cheatcode for unlimited money. Pretty damn tedious and needed a fellow online player.

Ran out of money before I completed it though.

WTF was the latest update all about?

It took ages to get it to actually start downloading because the stupid xBox thought I wasn't logged in and then when I finally got it all done the 'new look' is straight out of the early 1980s.

Retro is sooo Contemporary it would appear...

I am not convinced on the look of it either, but it appears to be faster?

Everyone is now much taller too?  They needed to change the proportions of the Avatars so they work better with the Kinect camera.

I like the clean look of the new one. Having to download an update for Last.fm was a bit pointless, though. You'd think they'd just bundle it in!

Ace Combat 6 is pretty good.

Theres also HAWX 1&2 but never played any of them so can't comment.

Avoid Over-G fighters or whatever its called.

To be honest you will never get a decent flight sim outside of a pc.  You need a proper interface which a controller can't do.

Apart from steel battlion on the original xbox of course.

Stop it.

I'm trying not to buy COD Black Ops at the moment.
There are too many game releases.
I still want to go back to Forza 3 at some point.

I have heard mixed things regarding Black Ops, not all good.

I think you should be emailing an F1 team, not telling us

I'm waiting to hear/read some reviews to see if it's worthwhile getting.
I've been tempted to go back to MW2 to see if it's still being played online.

I have been doing it on medium, when you are qualifying 1.7 seconds ahead of the established teams it gets a tad boring.

I'll do the next season on hard.

Then you have played black ops.  I played an hour of it last night and it was the same game.  The level we were doing had you against the clock fighting your way into a russian base to stop a millise launch.  Sound familiar much?

That's what you get for doing Season Mode and not cherry picking events when you feel like it from Event Mode.
