First comments from me 3 episodes in

I really like it..

new set works very well, I read that Harry Metcalfe has lent his Countach to TG for display in the studio, I think they have a 911 and Testarossa of his too

Episode with the high milers was superb, love the film work and the cars they chose and that crash was no accident, that was one off cue serious shunt, I guess that wasn't scripted, if it was then it wasn't supposed to be that big, I am surprised  the airbags didn't deploy

As did I like the US road trip, 4 season in one day in 2 super cabrio's. Beautifully shot. I'd take the Lambo just for its theatre and posing value but that Porsche is one hell of a all year round weapon

I think last nights episode was the best one, post Clarkson era
Loved loved loved the Aston Martin film. Yes, the Bond thing has been overdone, but by god it stills works and evokes a sense of luxury and kind of what we all want to aspire to be, I know I do. A button to retract the centre console arm rest is just OTT FG but my lord I want one so badly to show off. Having seen my first DB11 only this week I can safely say it is a monumentally good looking car.

Thought the Fiat 124 Abarth piece was excellent too. Overpriced but I'd take one everyday over the MX5. Julie said she preferred the look of the MX5. The 124 may not be good to drive and shares way too many parts from Japan and doesn't evoke the same sense of cute little Italian roadster as the 60's original but in that red with the black alloys and black front treatment I thought that looked mega

The Golf was sensational. In my favourite grey with some red accents that looks like a hot hatch should, but what's the point of it. No rear seats and priced above the R with broadly similar power. Still great track weapon and looks amazing but not to buy

Ahhh now, the silly intermissions of blowing things up, power jet washing a Volvo (where on earth and on what would you use something that powerful) and cutting things up in a muck spreader appeals to the 6 year old in us but a bit daft

But I have a gripe....one bit one...the guest segment is far too long, how long did that interview with Tamsin Greig go on for? Ruins the show, and I actually muted the programme and sent a few txt messages on my phone whilst it was on

Great start, the chaps have blended together well, works so much better without Evans, Schmit and Jordan.

Someone is going to chin him soon if he keeps talking to the guests the way he does. Most of them are probably patently aware that the ESP is doing all the work, they're not wheelsmith Queefs like he is.

Toned down last night and an "ask" to be nicer to the guests. Feel he will drop the act pretty soon. Well, at least I hope so!

And now they have, actually quite cleverly, dropped it.

Finally watched episode 3.

Seems to have improved a bit, but Matt seems to be falling into character as a weird mixture of Clarkson and Joey. And what's with the 'Matt destroys stuff' bit every week? Comes across as a touch juvenile.

Still, looks promising.
