A new engine at 2 years old? Thrashed!

That's not the standard front bumper and side skirts, is it?

I'm pretty sure that ALFs doesn't look like that, because that looks, errrm, less than great....

Maybe not with yours, but that's a high performance engine in the Alfa.

It must work better on a dark car then and/or the Sportwagon, because ALFs looks pretty smart.

The silver car looks very after market to me. The skirts look stuck on and the shape of the front bumper and fog lights just don't look right.

10,500 for the Alfa.

There are Citroen Xantia Activas for less than 1500.

looks tempting till I noticed the dent on the rear passenger door and wing - nasty. Nearly had one of these 10years ago, ended up with a 316 instead.

I must say the Alpina alloys really suit the Z1.

Would love a set of them.

I prefer the look of the standard wheels, actually. I had a look at Z1s on Autotrader yesterday - there were two, one of which had some revolting five-spindly-spoke jobs that completely ruined the look of the car.

I don't know myself. I usually do prefer the standard alloys myself as well (hence not having bought any Alpina ones) but then they look a bit undernourished in this pic:

Don't like the Alpina ones - bit odd for the elegant shape.

If you don't mind me saying so Racing, your Z1 would look the absolute dog's danglies with a set of those 5 spokers on the car next to yours.

How come the other has no aerial though?

I think they are Azevs. 18".

The wing-mounted aerial is aftermarket on mine - don't know why it has it. The standard radio aerial is incorporated into the windscreen which is why the other Z doesn't have one.

Maybe the hardtop interferes with the signal or wiring?

Is the hardtop CF at all? I read the other day that Carbon fibre doesn't carry signals.

That Avantime is a handsome beast. Long live this period of Renault design and not the rubbish new direction as seen on the Twingo.

That's the same colour interior as mine. I do like that body colour (#268 Noir Nocturne, since you're asking...), but much prefer my #549 Bleu Illiade.

A fairly low-mileage Avantime can now be had for about 7k. There is one on eBay right now, 30k up, for 6995....

http://tinyurl.com/yopzjy

Not the best body / interior colour, but it looks immaculate and how unique can you get for that money?

Though the ad states FSH, I doubt it's had the cambelt done, so an extra 1500 needs to be factored in to the purchase budget. Bring this up at purchase time and it could be a handy bargaining tool.

There was a 100k+ example on there last week - Buy It Now price of 3995.

This one's on at the moment, 42k up, Buy It Now 7500

http://tinyurl.com/268bo5

And another - again, Noir Nocturne, Buy It Now 8495. But it's an auto, and the auto 'box is rubbish with lots of reported problems. I was originally looking for an auto, but am happy now that I couldn't find the one I wanted, got impatient and bought a manual.

http://tinyurl.com/26y2xd

Go on! You know you want to.

I'm seriously considering one of these as and when I leave Vodka-land.

It's on my shortlist with the E34 M5 Touring, W124 500E and 850CSi.
