It doesn't need a 'DSG' gearbox to sound great though...

Mustangs must attract a certain type of driver.

Not YouTube, but

Easy Peasy

Some may recall I'm learning to fly these at the minute - a wee bit to go yet, I think!!

Lot of mistakes in there.

The Recaros weren't exclusive, they were an option on late 182s.

The wheels weren't exclusive, they'd already been used on the 172 Cup.

The colour Capsium Red (I quote) has another c in there somewhere...

The tyres were Michelin Exaltos, not Exactos.

The 182 didn't come out in 2001, it was 2004.

...but apart from that it was pretty good ?

tbh i watched it on my phone..couldn't really make out he said exactos instead of exaltos etc, although yes he was wrong on the year etc

I like his videos as  proper old skool road tests .

Some video I found of a mate driving me in my turbocharged MX-5 at Curborough Sprint in 2004.  The music was playing on the CD player and accidentally timed quite nicely into that first corner!!

Especially the guy lifting the child into the car

The one thing I see from these videos, over and above anything else, is just what a depressing shithole most of Russia appears to be.

The engine from the drivers ear-point here doesn't sound anything like as good as it does from the spectators sound-point. Thoughts?

According to YouTube, this is a 360 degree view from a camera mounted on Nico Rosbergs sidepod. Ultra-wide-angle F1

I reckon it's only 300 degrees or so, but fairly impressive nonetheless. Pity about the noise .

Not too much of Guy Martin here, but some amazing viewing angles. The kerb-cam is the bottom of Bray Hill - they go through at c.180mph - the normal speed limit is 30!

I'd love to go and watch the TT live, but I'm guessing hotels and the like get booked up years in advance?

A lot of people book for the following year before they leave! There's always somewhere that'll take you, plus Homestay or camping. Costs a bomb though.

How about the most successful, and charismatic, TT racer ever?

Joey

Not the best selection of races, but not the worst either. I had the pleasure of meeting him on a couple of occasions - a true gent, despite his well known dislike of "pressing the flesh".

The new leader of the TT crop is Joey's nephew, Michael, who I believe is the current lap-record holder.

This is, to me, 18 minutes of bliss! Remember as you watch, these are ordinary public roads, and he's on a 600cc motorcycle which isn't a million miles away from what you can go and buy from a dealer.

Scary and exhilarating at the same time!
