A couple of the M8 at Charing Cross tonight (p*ing down with rain, too!)

This one is deliberately "wobbly", though it didn't work quite as I wanted.

As it should be.......

And a couple of the Mitchell library.....

I would have got more, but it was getting just too wet!

The two of the Mitchell Library are great shots, especially the first one. Slightly too much light pollution for the light trail shots to work, IMHO.

I can't remember what processing software you have but making adjustments to the contrast and/or levels can make the background darker/blacker.

Irfanview, mostly, at the moment - still practising with the PS Elements on my Macbook!

Got some more tonight..... altered the settings quite a lot for this one -  a lot better, I think.

Again, different settings for the Mitchell - different viewpoint, too.

City Chambers.........

A couple of pics of Loch Fyne, taken on a crip late afternoon just after the New Year break. The spot I took these from is about 200 yards from my front door...

A couple of shots I "snatched" this afternoon on the Lumix - first is in "scenery" mode, the second "sunset" - less than a minute apart. Quite a difference, eh?

Lovely photos.

I never knew Glasgow could look so nice unless it was in a total blackout on a moon-free night

Loch Fyne is always beautiful

I deleted about 80% of the shots I took today, just not happy with the light or how they looked when processed :(

These are my favourites of the few that remained.

I like that style of shot - nice and straightforward and no need for 30 PS adjustment layers or anything like that.

I now carry my Sony A100 dslr around with me along with a 24mm Sigma AF prime and a Minolta 50mm f1.7 AF prime. The small prime lenses make the slr much more portable and the image quality is great. I got each lens for about £80 on eBay.

Just a nice pic of of MX5 when I was visiting a farm house for one of my jobs. I turned around after making an appointment for an interview and thought the scene was worth a quick photo.

Love the MX5 pic, maybe a darkening of the sky would give it more atmosphere, imho.

How disgusting is that, having flying rats in a cafe?

I know, I sent it in to a couple of Glasgow-based papers hoping to start a health scare but unfortunately nothing happened. Maybe I should send it to Environmental Health and Public Health instead? The BK staff weren't bothered about shoo-ing them away.

Out with the dogs last week at Colzium Park, just outside Kilsyth. These are a few shots from the day......

This fella was a good distance away - hence the blurriness!

This is opposite an Asda in Poole. I could see the shot as I was driving past, so I made my mate come back with me whilst I shot it.

This is the Asda itself.

This sculpture is next to the colourful apartments.

Took this when going to work a few weeks ago before the clocks had gone back.  I do love living here when I get sunrises like this.

Bloody hell - your sunrise shots are wonderful and either your camera has a decent zoom length or those birds are very tame!

Both.  Camera has 15x Zoom, but they were no more than 6' away from me at anyone time.  The Robin was about 3' away.  I must have been stood there for about 5mins before he flew off.

Mike, as Matt said, great sunrise shots, had similar sunrises myself in the days I use to fish all night at Milendreath, great bird shots too.

I drove home with the top down and a mile from home it poured down so I reached back and pulled the top up when I got held up at traffic lights. When I got home it was raining even harder but the sun was shining so I looked for a rainbow and sure enough there was a double rainbow. One, the brightest, was I think the lowest in the sky that I've ever seen a rainbow and the other passed in front of the hill. I grabbed my camera but unfortunately the trees obscured the view at ground level and by the time I ran upstairs both were fading fast.

I hope that there's enough left to see. It'll give you an idea anyway. Anyone else seen a rainbow this low in the sky?

It was my birthday today (19th) and I went out with my family for a lovely Italian meal.

This was the scene at Saltburn...
