So speaks the man who looks a lot like his dog!  Or is it the other way round?

I'm another Dan.  Live in Cheltenham, currently unemployed.  Own a Porsche Cayman S, used to have an E46 M3 and a VX220 Turbo.  Compared to those, my other former cars are less interesting.

Used to be a runner, and years ago a pretty good orienteer.  Did them both pretty seriously, up to and including (Junior) international level.  These days I just keep myself reasonably fit down the gym.

I'm a mortgage broker/estate agent/rental agent/whatever shite job the company needs doing (who said rank doesn't have privelleges?) living in Scarisbrick in Lancashire.

Should drive a 96 Jag X300 but I've been to lazy to get the 'box/starter motor fixed so am bumming around in the company CLK230Kompresser (aka that horrible German thing). Mrs Scouse has a Renault Grand Espace 2.0T Privellege and two kids to put in it.

How dare you! As you can see, typically, the woman is gawping out of the car and not paying attention to the road ahead, whereas I am carefully negotiating the curve with a light touch on the steering wheel, making sure to keep a close eye on what the camera-toting pedestrians at the roadside are doing.

I'm Denise, nearly 38, the forum's token woman, recently married to the perfectly wonderful Mr Skyhook.  I write for a magazine, am mum to Little Skyhook, and spend most of my day playing silly computer games, reading, baking, watching snooker or looking for a 'proper' job.  I should be driving a late 50's Austin Healey Frogeye, but as I don't have a licence yet that's sadly impossible.

I'm Colin, the Forum's Roving Reporter.

Apparently, I live in Bristol, but my job as an IT Architect, working for IBM, responsible for one global client, sees me spending plenty of time elsewhere in the world. This gives me plenty of opportunity to hop in and out of a wide variety of rental cars, and visit some of the more remote auto shows and museums.

My current car is a bright red 05 model Audi S4, but its lease expires soon, so a yet to be determiined replacement is in the offing.

I have been lucky enough to meet more than 30 of the other Forummers, and would be delighted to add to that tally during 2008!

I was also a partsman in a (distant) past life - I actually gave a damn, but no-one else in my parts store did. Most of them are wankers, but there are some good ones. I still hate having to go into the parts dept at my Renault dealer, it's well away from the showroom so nobody watching over them.

Hi. I guess I should say hello. I'm Alastair, I've come over here from Autocar where i have been serially humiliated by Autocars useless forums over the last year or more. I used to be Porcorosso and I'm big enough to admit I was wrong, wrong, wrong to stay there and let them waste my time.

My Golf has just gone and is being replaced by something that would suit a hairdresser rather than me. My Skoda is my work car.

Brilliant - three new members. Welcome chaps!

This is where all the life is............. and we now have a well established program of Forum meets (though I am well aware that they are somewhat biased to the southern half of the country!).

Oh, and don't forget the associated web-site. We are always looking for new contributors. Seems like I do most of the writing!
