Didn't quite get the picture of it at 191.9 on the odo - having a passenger lean over and photograph that moment whilst passing a Police car wouldn't have been a good idea...

Got there at last, managed to complete a journey this morning taking a slightly longer route than necessary, and photo taken on my driveway in safety !

Most annoyingly I missed all the trip reset points for various reasons, mostly to do with crap weather and dodgy driving by others!

However, turned out better than I expected in the end . . .

And almost there too with 10 degrees C at 10.57 with 100.9 FM on the radio. Pity it wasn't 10.09 am too.

I was going to ask how you'd managed to do 10k miles so quickly.
Better use the calculator next time

A few hundred yards before I got to work this morning the temperature display did read 10 C; sadly it dropped one solitary degree before I got to the safety of the car park, so I just missed out in the photo on 789 10

Though presumably it didn't stay at 9 or less all day?

Sold the 320d to my brother in law when it was at 99,591 thus missing the chance for an 'all the 9s' photo.

I'd also forgotten to reset the trip which, as it's on the same line as the mileometer, would've me 9 nine in a row

This morning, 7:15.

Tomorrow afternoon should see the big 200. Then the fun begins.

It's on a different screen but I'll probably reset it at 77700 if I remember.

Not worth a picture, but the 535d went past 44,300 miles at the weekend (44,450 this morning) which means it has now done more miles than the Boxster.  The Boxster is 5 years 3 months old, I've had the 535d for 20 months.

Missed 'perfection' by 0.2 of a mile.

Very poor show really.

That did cross my mind for a second!

I'm disgusted with myself that a bit of simple arithmetic seems to have been beyond me when I worked that out - or tried to, as it now transpires.

Better luck next time I suppose; not long now till all the nines and the big 100K pop up!

I had hoped, despite repeated proof to the contrary, that verdammt M6 traffic hadn't, in fact, deprived me of all the nines. Sadly, it did; this is as close as I could get.

This should have been nine nines; sadly, only eight.

Ah well. Must try harder for 111111.

I've not even tried to get a number pattern, that wouldn't work for me as I use the trip for fill-fill mileage.  I know I could just use the total mileage, but I just couldn't......

Anyway, a milestone achieved today.

Has your car only got one tripmeter then? Surprising, if so.

Well, I certainly don't recall anything higher!

If ALF engaged in this tomfoolery, I suspect he might get somewhere close; likewise if Martin kept his cars for more than 5 minutes he'd top that with ease I reckon!

I'm afraid to do the man maths on it.
I've owned it for about the last 20,000 and in that time it's averaged about 16mpg - smaller US gallons but not great. I'm just glad petrol is half the price here!

Our other car is sitting pretty on 187,000 miles. Not bad for a fertility wagon with a 3.5 v6 petrol.

A couple of milestones in the last week.

Not the best picture as it was taken from the passenger seat by my youngest at motorway speed.

Not bad for 16.5 months.....

Lindsay arrived at work just at the right moment.  It's a couple of weeks short of its 6th Birthday.
