Blackpool lost to an extra time goal - even though they weren't playing United.

A white Boxster Spyder sans tent. Add that to the RS60 I saw a couple of weeks ago and it seems like Plymouth is a good place to spot special edition Boxsters.

Saw something interesting (to me) today - another Le Mans Blue M3 Saloon.  I've only seen 3 other M3 Saloons on the road since they came out, and this is the first one I've seen in the same colour as mine!

It also had a personalised plate on it (12 TTP).

And a silver SL65 AMG.

There is a private road across from the college and in the space of two minutes yesterday some sort of Aston came down, think it was a DB9, followed by an XJS.  The Aston was pefectly angled so as i passed the road it was dead on straight ahead of me, surrounded by all the tree's it looked incredible, like a catalogue shot for it.

This is the road

An Almera saloon tihs morning. I wasn't sure at first, as I don't recall ever even being aware there was such a thing - but there is, and it was.

Unfortunately there is a such a thing, usually driven by an older gentleman with a hat, driving gloves, a white haired old lady in the passnger seat and a box of tissues on the rear parcel shelf.

Back in the nineties, I recall a colleague driving us to a customer in just such a hire car. It was a bit of a change from his BMW E36 coupe, which was presumably being repaired at the time. (He was only in his early 30s, though.)

This one was driven by a - lady I was going to say - woman, of a "certain  age", but certainly not well!! I know Rodge has plenty to say on the subject of Almera drivers, and on this evidence, I think he's 100% right!!

Bizarrely, it seems to me, I've seen two "trebles" today too; three Hyundai Coupes of varying vintages, including a Mk 1 in red, and three Alfa GTs, two red and one blackline. Still like them!!

a proper OMG moment on the road today

an undisguised McLaren MP4 12-C in grey on the M1 south as I was going north by J15a. As the traffic on both sides was fairly slow and we were both in the outside lanes of our respected carriageways I got to to have a decent look, and got to say it looks so much better than anything else on the road. The 458 Italia is striking but this is another level, it certainly would be my first car to buy if my numbers come up in the euromillions.

Cracking spot, Nelson.
I saw the orange VP9 one from Goodwood driving through Cheltenham Town Centre a couple of months ago and agree that I'd have it over a 458 if I ever became filthy rich.

I haven't seen any new McLaren's, given where I live I thought I may have seen at least a couple, when the F1 was in development and production I saw loads.

god honests truth, it was a very rare sight, it was a proper ''did I really just see that'' moment, lol

I saw an F1 McLaren on the road once, an experimental model, undisguised with a sticker on the flank designating the pre-production model. It was behind me on the straight mile between Brinklow and Bretford, I pulled over and let it fly past me, I did so also so i could follow it without having to look in the rearview mirror all the time. I haven't seen one since.

Saw a road legal F1 Long Tail at Chobham test track at the Laguna launch a few years ago, I think only 10 racers were built with a few converted to road use.

I was up in London yesterday, so unsurprisingly there was good spotting to be had.  Highlights were two Maybachs (if you can call these highlights), a Phantom, a grey 599 and a white Gallardo.

Oh, and two SLSs in different showrooms, and a Zonda Roadster in another showroom.

I see a Toyota Celica on a regular basis on my way home from work, for some reason the owner has deemed it appropriate to fit a current style Audi type grill to the front of it, it looks absolutely ridiculous.

I see the geekiest guy ever every day driving some a previous shape Clio, in blue, with bright orange wing mirrors.  I'm not sure what it is, I presume a 182 like the Blue Frog, it stands out like a sore thumb, in a good way.

I think you need to set up a webcam so we can look at all the exotica that drives past yours.

There is a farmers field outside here and as i type this a Tractor has just drove past, followed by a minibus then a bottle green focus.

An Alfa 8C just drove past, one of the convertible ones, it was LHD in a pearl white.

It's the first time I've seen one up close, it looked and sounded stunning.

True, but it's always the same Lambos or Porsches or Ferraris. Nothing truly exotic.

Weybridge!!

Amazing, isn't it? All these people trading their 8Cs, Gallardos and 430s for a Twingo or Megane.

Further to the above, Humph, what would you do if someone wanted to trade in a car that was worth more than the one they wanted to buy? Would you take it anyway, if it was something you could easily sell on?
