If he'd made all those mistakes but been Hamilton-quick, or at least been consistent without blowing away the grid on pace, he might have been worth perservering with, but he was abjectly hopeless. After all the guy leading the championship looked shit whilst driving for Briatore alongside Alonso didn't he? Not surprisingly, this has caused some speculation as to whether the 'A' might have been his initial, even though the obvious candidate was cleared of any involvement.
