Saw yesterday, in a truly dreadful font, attached to, well, I suspect you can guess, both 'car' and colour.

MY 06 UTE

I still feel faintly queasy.

I'm not surprised.  Hate is a strong word, but at the very least I have a strong dislike for those sort of plates in particular and vanity plates in general.

Something like MRC 1 would be fine, but A1 MRC would certainly not be OK!

Saw L330 Nxx in Newcastle Under Lyne yesterday - can't even spell Leon, assuming that a 3 is similar to an E.  Which it isn't.

I have a little chuckle whenever I see B16 or B19 with some meat-head behind the wheel.  There is a bloke in Bedford with B16 XXL (or it could be B19 XXL) on an X5, before that a Voyager.  He'd like to think he's a big boy but from what I've seen he is sack-of-shite fat.  Perhaps he does a good impression of a tripod although without a mirror he wouldn't be able to tell...

For some reason having a plate 250 GTO or F40 FER looks really good though having X5 XXX or M3 XXX is plane nasty. I have no idea why I thnk this as its all to do with the car its on rather then the plate itself.

There's an E36 316i with unpainted bumpers down here and the number plate is B19 CDX, with the D morphed slightly. Mate I've seen yours (engine) and it isn't anything special.

There's a bloke who cuts about my 'manor' in a 320 cabrio with S6 VGN, but the '6' and 'G' have been mutilated so the plate says 'SEVEN'. God, I hate that.

Laddo with whome I share the same local has stuck 'his plate' B16 KEU (the U being tampered with) on his brand new Audi S3 - in that minging flat orange of all colours (the car, that is).

Unfortunately (for him), Kev is just a fat lad and not big in any way that you would want to be.

Thanks, that's probably it.

In a strange way I actually think it's quite cool even though I wouldn't actually have that as my plate.

I was following an X-type earlier, wearing the registration VD51 MDN, which had been artfully rearranged to read VD SIMON.

Not the sort of thing one tends to advertise, is it?

The parents of a girl in my class at school had 'VD Ferry' on the nameplate upon their front door. She never heard the end of it, poor girl.

As Ben admitted recently to never having had a girlfriend (and felt the need to qualify it with the word 'fact), his excitability must be excused.

The term that we are looking for is 'low-resolution fox', though that's probably being kind.

Regarding T Rex etc, our high-score 'names' for the pub's quiz machine are Peter Niss and Arthur Nuss.

Chris, did you see university Challenge yesterday?  The captain of the winning team seemed to know just about everything.

And didn't she just know it? There seemed to be some sort of telepathy going on between the two girls as during every question they would turn and nod at each other before Miss Brainyboots delievered the answer. With one notable exception, I don't think the blokes got a look in.

As for Exeter - oh dear! At least they managed to haul their score into positive figures.

Yes, that was quite a performance. I felt really sorry for Exeter as they'd been impressive in previous rounds, especially Katy Limmer. I did like her new haircut, too.

Bob, mine is B14RND, as some other wag had swagged ...RNO before I had a chance to.

So......I have a slightly doctored show plate, which has been witnessed by numerous forum members.

My mate with the Focus RS (The one Torque Junkie was salivating over at Oulton) has R5 FPW, which he has altered to say RSF PW, his car and initials.

Over the road at the Total garage is a Dodge Ram with the number plate,
E18 LOX, with a few strategically placed screws to read BOLOX.
