Wibble, wibble, wibble.

4495. Is that right? For what it is that seems an absolute bargain. I've seen the odd one that claims to be in good condition being touted about at nearer 10k.
Bob Sacamano

It's a thumbs up from me. Right engine too.

It is cheap for what it appears to be...maybe the six cylinder cars have fallen out of favour because they aren't that good on a performance to thirst ratio. In fact it's fair to say a 4 speed auto XJR6 would get walloped off the line by a 330d or a Golf GTI

Just look at what 1800 quid gets you (something I would very happily run as my only car.

There is a minty mint, 45k mile XJR8 up for 8995 - but it's a JEC events ornament at that price.

I prefer the ivory interior over the black of the other car.

One of the "killers" for older cars is the VED in relation to purchase price.
My old Scenic (1998) is still showing as untaxed and without MoT after being traded for the Ka in June. However the MID is now showing that it's insured..... very odd

I've got the unenviable task of shifting my dad's Sovereign next week.  I think it may be a case of WBAC!

That looks expensive to me? Great car but funny spec?

Problem is it's an immaculate car but nearly 20 yrs old. Move it to 1500 and it will sell easily I'm sure.

This looks good value for 3.5K - http://www.pistonheads.com/classi...2-jaguar-xjr-supercharged/2804081

Surprised it's not moving - I don't think it's overpriced given the condition it's in and the history it's got.

The lwb cars are rather unwieldy though (standard car has a poor turning circle) and the vast majority of Sovs are 4.0 litre.

It sold today for 1,500. Gone, it would seem, to a good home.

That's probably not a bad price in the end.
