Wheeler DealersAccepting that Mike Brewer is a bit of a tit, this is a service announcement to let you know that Wheeler dealers is back on on Disco Real Time (240 on Sky) on Tuesday at 9 and 9.30.
Ferrari 308.

Thanks. I like Wheeler Dealers. All you have to do is ignore Brewer and concentrate on what Edd China is doing.
I am convinced the "sale" at the end of the program is all a big con.

Ed's labour is never taken into account with the final selling price and that really destorts the profit made.
Don't get me wrong, It well worth a watch and some of the finished products look lovely.

I've never forgiven them for what they did to the Porsche 944. Wankers. China should (I imagine) know better so he's just as guilty.

Especially when they sell it to one of the staff of the show/production team.

I saw a repeat recently of the 80's Corvette he did up, including putting in a new digital dash.

I wish they hadn't jazzed it up with the sale bit as its really a restoration show. As such its terrific. And yes even i have noticed a few too many sold to staff...

It's odd in a way but Brewer's twattery (nice combo of words) makes the show strangely even more watchable

More of a tart-it-up-for-sale show I'd say, but an interesting watch nonetheless - prefer to watch Overhaulin' though - they know how to sort a car but shudder to think at what cost.

If they put the cost of overhaulin on screen nobody would see the finished car there would be so many tears in their eyes.
And yes grampa i guess you're right WD is really a tart and titivate show. But I love it...

Overhaulin' is excellent. Chip Foose is a gentleman and a legend.

I watch Overhaulin' for the chick, but the show's good too.

Chip Foose used to work for Boyd Coddington. He was designing wheels on Coddingtons time and selling them as his own using Coddingtons's equipment.
I do like Overhaulin though.

There was lots of bad blood between Foose and Coddington, not hard to find on the net. I must admit to owning a genyouwhine 'Foose' T shirt.
overboard, overblown, overhaulin'. Yup

Mike "smash me through the face with a baseball bat until I can no longer say 'fella' while offering a limp handshake" Brewer is odious but I do like China and the general format is spot-on.

I've missed the first episode, but have put it on series link. Mini next week?
Tried to find the first episode this afternoon but without success, so I watched the one with the 911 which was on some obscure channel.
Can't stand Brewer either and the cars they work on aren't really my thing, but I find the process really interesting.

Still wondering why they don't throw it back at the dealer to rectify the faults under warranty, eh

Exactly, although I'd be pissed off with niggly faults in the first place
The only thing wrong with this programme is that they don't put labour costs in.
