What's this, then?

What sort of car was this - any ideas?

Oh, btw, the driver had already abandoned ship before most of this damage was done....

Does it...? It's not, though.
"him"

It looks like it was an estate (judging by the shape of the upper part of the rear door?)

And by the shape of the rear lights... a Vauxhall Vectra C?
scamper

Looks like a non-breakdown, Martin stylee

Were it a Vectra, wouldn't be able to see the drive shafts? So, not close, I'm afraid. And it's not/wasn't an estate
Blarno

My guess is some sort of old Merc E-Class. Definitely RWD.

Ha! So you were paying attention at Cowdenbeath! For you are right - it is a Mark 2 Granada saloon.

Here's the 'before' picture - Buxton raceway, 2004. Alex Ramsey's Granada, from The Mob which is a mainly-Scottish team.

I will find the 'before' pic and post it up....

Of course I was paying attention
Not like there was much else to look at (Cowdenbeath girls, yuk) plus I realised I was in the company of someone with considerable years of expertise

I hope you're not trying to insinuate that Trevor's old, Tim!!

(Again!   )
Big TC

Tim's hardly in a position to poke fun at anyone else, is he now.....?

..true!!
TimR

That's harsh.

I'm still on the right side of 40 (just).
Dr. Hfuhruhurr

Depends what you regard as the right side, eh?

TimR

This month it'd start with a 3.

Next month it'll probably start with a 4
