What a tongue twister

Try pronouncing this one...

Alfa Romeo MiTo Qudrifoglio Verde
Blarno

It means '4 leaf clover', I believe.

They did a 33 QV back in the 80's.

And thus the shonky Italian tat knowledge issue is redressed...

EDIT: I didn't read the ad first, scout's honour.

I saw my first MiTo the other day, close up. What a load of bollocks! Dumpy and frumpy was my thought, so I'm out.

Agree. The offset number plate looks ridiculous. The grille is more important than identification it seems.

It's not a design I love, but I think the Mito looks much better in the metal than in pictures.

170bhp, 50mpg and only 130g of carbons. Sounds impressive.

50MPG & 130g of CO2 while producing 170BHP would be even more so...

I remember my father wandering into Sports Motors in Manchester (Lotus,Saab, Morgan & Alfa) and finding a brand new Alfasud Ti 105 Quadrifoglio Verde fresh off the boat. Even Autocar hadn't heard about it. A Sud with 105bhp, finally grunt near enough the GTi.

A pristine and very rare 1350 Ti was duly chopped in for it.

Of course it was red with a vile black and green interior.

It was utter shoite. The steering was as numb as a pornstars ringpiece and the engine was flat and lifeless compared to the 95 Bhp Veloce spec motor.

My fathers cervical spondylosis soon got to the stage that he couldn't drive and I inherited it. Of all the Suds I owned this was the worst though it didn't rust and was 100% reliable.

Good to see this new MultiAir engine stuffs the Mini Cooper S on the CO2/economy front, at last a competitive range of engines - though I suspect there may be some initial 'customer development' for early adopters.

Fortunately the arse on the MiTo probably isn't big enough to accomodate 'Quadrifoglio Verde', hopefully it will just have the 4 leafed clover on instead.

It's also very colour sensitive.
Gurney

It is indeed colour sensitive.

I do have to say 'Etna' black is the best black I have seen on any car ever. It has tiny glowing red crystals embedded within and in some lights looks more Aubergine. Terrific colour.
