Walworth Castle Car Meet

I was invited to this event just the other day, so rather than staying in on a lovely Wednesday night, took the TVR and went for a bar meal and a wander.

Eclectic mix of cars and a nice atmosphere.

Love those Mk1 Escort Mexicos.
Twelfth Monkey

I sense many beards!

Me too, but the Stag just shades it for me.

Did you have some sort of polariser on your camera/phone Mark? Looks like it from the toughening marks on some of the Escort shots!
TreVoR

Yes, circular polariser to reduce the reflections and make the colours stand out a bit more.

It wasn't like that - there were a few, but it was quite a young gathering.

Ah, camera then. I have a polarising filter on my kit lens, not yet on the zoom. Damn things cost a fortune!
Stuntman

Interesting selection.  That Atom Mugen's a pretty rare thing, I think.  I also like the Sierra Cosworth.
Frank Bullitt

Fantastic mix, really varied

The Ur Quattro, 205's and Saab 99 are where it is at for me.
Roadsterstu

Mk1 Escorts, Saab 99 Turbo, Mk1 Fiesta XR2, Quattro and 205s for me. A nice mix of cars.
Martin

Boxster Spyder for me please. I like quite a few of the other cars there, especially the Quattro, Sierra, Escort and 205, but better to look at than own.
Roadsterstu

You don't like that 3 Series then?!
Martin

Take a wild guess....
Roadsterstu

Its even worse I think than a hideously dubbed Eos I've passed twice this week. "Slammed", horrific camber on the wheels, especially at the back, massive rear wing, no front plate, US spec amber DRLs, the works. Ugh.
Big Blue

Immaculate Morris Traveller for me.
Grampa

Great mix of cars - I would rather wander round a eclectic mix of cars like this than a field of full of exclusively exotic stuff.

I like the blue Viva but it would have to be the Stratos for me - God knows what those things must be worth today.
TreVoR

The Stratos is a Hawk kit, but it really looks the part.

The Viva would surprise a few people with that engine.

My favourite is the Mk2 Escort with the 200SX engine, but I liked a lot of them.
