Volvo C30Quite like it, but then I'm (likely) alone in thinking the current car is nice too:

Worried to read about the new chassis 'upgrades'. Euch.
Wonder if Volvo are going to replace the pitifull petrol engine range (well, below T5 anyway...)

I'm not sure about the awful silver plastic vents at the front - subtle they aint and Volvos ought to be subtle. And isn't the last thing it needs is a harder ride? Perhaps they think that early Audi S-Lines are the business?

I think Volvo have completely screwed their two best looking cars, first the C70 and now the C30 - that front end is droopy looking cack.
They should have spent the cash on the interiors and the engines and left the looks well alone. The C70 in particular is a fucking travesty - I hate this coporate front end bollocks.
If I've read the article right - they aren't stuffing the new 5 cylinder diesel units into this platform, just continuing with the 177 bhp EU4 D5 unit.
God, if they had just fixed the interior, shoved the 300 brake 5 pot in and asked Ford for some chassis help Volvo could have had such an awesome car on their hands.
Swedish numpties - probably too busy banging their impossibly gorgeous girlfriends to do some proper engineering.

The biggest problem with this though is the new S60, which is more deserving of comparison with the Swedish numpties' aforementioned girlfriends.

Not quite as bad as the Punto facelift but they've stilled pulled off the same trick as Ford always managed in the 90's - i.e. a facelift that makes it looked like two different cars joined in the middle.
FB - you're not alone in thinking the original was a nice looking car (I just was fired up by reports of the way it goes), but I fear you may be in the minority thinking that this is a facelift that works.
