Exatley, not easy is it? To carry stuff like bikes and go the distance in moderate luxury really does limit you to the German hyper-estates - sports cars will not cut it unless you go the the Fed-Ex route which somewhat misses the point.
I think the Panamera will go the top of the list when that's launched. Few real rivals at the moment. Perhaps the Rapide should have been a wagon?

Tour grandly? With bicycles? Surely an oxymoron.
My problem is that I find most fast modern convertibles rather crass and vulgar so I'd prefer a classic.
1. A black Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. If I can afford one of those, I could afford a bespoke bike-rack to get the bikes affixed to the bootlid if absolutely necessary.
2. A silver Ferrari 250 LWB California. Sod the bikes. Buy 'em each time they're needed and then give them away to deserving locals upon departure.
If modern is a must:
1. Ferrari California (the new V8 folding-roof job) in a dark metallic with a bespoke rear valence to get rid of the vulgar stacked exhausts. Again, bikes be damned.
2. If collecting and carting vino around is required, then a dark green BMW M5 Touring would do the trick nicely. The bikes will fit in around the plonk.
3. Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione in darkest blue. Why would I need a bike?
