Autoblog have had several dead/not dead stories in the last few months, so this is good news indeed.
The Celica name deserves to be used, especially as the first Celicas were RWD and it's a popular name.

It only looks like the Hyundai in side profile. There is nothing wrong with that - the Hyundai apparently looks like a Ferrari to some.

No, that is his name. Toyota was considered to sound nicer than Toyoda (which apparently means 'fertile rice paddies') and takes eight strokes to write in Japanese, where eight is considered a lucky number.
