How odd, looks like the safety car came out straight in the path off, well, whoever it was who hit him.

What an idiot the SC driver was, I mean he moves out, and brakes to a halt? Well, I suppose sport learns from incidents. Do not let the safety car go across the white line, it happens in every other form of racing too. If the race cars are not allowed to go across the white line, this should apply to the safety car too
Even more bizzare, the safety car driver was never even instructed to go out onto the circuit: http://www.touringcartimes.com/news.php?id=3492
Because the safety car was not technically called, there were so safety car boards, hence why he hits the Cruze at such speed.
The only remotely similar incident I recall was when Heidfeld knocked off a door of the Mercedes medical car during the Brazlian GP at the Senna esses.

The commentators were talking about the safety car before the incident (in another video I watched on YouTube), but it wasn't in English, but they seemed to be saying it was coming out.
Whatever, the sc driver was a total twat.

Well the leaders had past the start line and I guess the SC driver would have thought that the SC boards would have been out hence they would have been going a lot slower. It seems that SC drivers are instructed to move striaght onto the racing line as soon as possible as every race I see they do the same, i.e come straight out of the pits and wait in the midlle of the road. It just seems timing was totally wrong in this example as he was sat on a blind bend.
What was tragic is that an independant was leading at the time and hada good chance of a win rather then gifting the race to Menu.
