Yes, that one is the subject of its own thread on the Alpina forum. Very nice spec; someone said it had been specced by a Bentley owner: green with red leather.
Roadsterstu

Nice.
Clunes

Very nice indeed!
PG

That is really nice. That's one good looking and desirable car.

What is that going to be worth at auction?

10-15K estimate.

I plan to go.

Indeed. Just reopened the link and the guide price is given. D'oh.

Very nice indeed. With all the online chat I expect half the world will be there, cheque book in hand; so an 'under the radar, bargain is unlikely to be had.

Isn't social media a really good marketing tool?

It is still an 80K mileage car which hasn't yet reached that age, so there is a chance it might be sold for reasonable money. Just a chance!

No, unless it's at the bottom end of estimate.
Tim

I can't help thinking that's a bit of a bargain compared with a similar M5 - there were 20k of those made and that would qualify as a low-mileage version thus attracting at least 15k I think.

They're frothing over it on the Alpina forum. Train tickets and hotels booked by some. Probably be a mini-meet

So any hope I had of getting it at the bottom of the estimate range is gone then.

Can you not tell them it's actually Cat C
Frank Bullitt

I like that, the interior in particular looks superb.

Went for 16-and-a-bit k. According to Alpina forummers it had an unidentifiable oil-leak, some poor matching paint along one side and needed 2 new rear tyres. One forummer bid up to 14k.

By all accounts it was a nice car but probably not what it could be until a few K is spent.

It was badly placed to view the paintwork properly but had signs of rust starting to come through in a few places and also early signs of bubbling on the black trim.

BMW enthusiast has bought it. Just joined the Alpina forum. He is under no illusions as to its provenance so hopefully by the summer he'll be cruising around in a minty E39 B10.
