Stretching its legs...I used the Fabia to take my brother to Manchester for the NIN gig and although I knew a good long run cleans an engine out, I was amazed at the difference. It was like night and day: noisy and lumpy when we set off and smooth and quiet on the return journey. Felt like it had some major work done!
I guess the effect of a proper long high speed run (400 miles at an average of 73mph) on a car that usually does about 30 miles per day shouldn't be underestimated. We'll need to plan more long trips in the Skoda to prolong its life!

About the only good thing about going to my mother in laws is the long drive gives the car a good clear out.
And it's strange but it always takes less time to get home than it does to get there. Hmm.

When I was a lad, we used to visit friends of my mum & dad's who lived in Largs. My sister and I always told my dad it only took half the time getting home as it took going, but he never believed us!

A bloke from our old local Ford garage told me they had an old customer with an old Prefect, he used to bring it in now and again complaining it wasn't running right - all they did to fix it was to take out for a good run and make sure the engine was revved high in each gear - reckoned it worked a treat.

I always give the car an Itilalian tune before the MOT to ensure minimise emissions
