Still Mondeo Man

Well,

As some will already know due to the 'running in' thread http://themotor.myfastforum.org/about12345.html I have purchased a new car.

Apologies for the repetition here but, rather than continuing to send the other thread on a tangent, I thought I should 'announce' the purchase in a new thread as is the norm so the grey mondeo I used to have has been replaced by....

A new grey Mondeo! It's a Sea Grey 2.5T Estate with Sunroof, Spoiler and Xenons on top of the (pretty generous) standard spec. First impressions are almost all positive - it drives very well indeed and feels well screwed together.

It's as close to new as you can get on a second hand motor - it had less than 40 miles on the clock when I agreed the purchase.

The only pic I have so far is this shit one but I will try to update - maybe once the weather has improved (it's very wet here right now)

Cheers all,

Olly

It's the trend of the week - replacing your car with another one of the same - see also Garry's new Benz
Gurney

This weekend mate coming up from Brum in his new TiT X - this one is a 2.2 TDci though. Replaced an ancient and much loved Mondy which he got scrappage for - thread somewhere!

So far he is very impressed, if totally bemused at the vast array of gadgets at his disposal.

Looks pretty nice.

Nice, really like the Mondeo Estate.

I also like the 'Snowflakes' although they seem to generally get a drubbin' on this forum

I like them purely because they a a piece of piss to clean.
Looks wise i'd rather have a set of RS style multi-spokes but i bet they are a nightmare to clean.

I check mine every weekish. Not that I blow the engine apart in my first Puma, you understand.

Nice one Olly and you are correct.......that a terrible picture.

It's importatnt, particularly if you buy another example of a car, to keep your eye on the oil level. One of my customers, back in the nineties, told me about getting another Omega, following one which had never ever needed topping up, and seeing the oil light come on after only 1000 miles. After the first, he'd never even thought of checking it.

Excellent choice!  The spec on your model avoids the few faults with mine (crap engine and seats) so it must be an unbeatable comlete package.  What MPG do you get?
