Starting young!

Lu (3 and a half) decided to take her first few photos ever on holiday last week, using mummy's Canon compact. Firstly it's important to take a shot of one's feet as a warmup:

Before moving on to a pic of daddy drinking his morning tea:

And following up with a cracking shot of mummy and daddy (well, it would be if daddy was not doing his usual semi closed-eye mong expression reserved for photos):

And here are some shots of Lu in action with the camera, plus generally in the house, since it's about all I get to take pictures of these days!

That 2nd shot hasn't been fiddled with, has it? Surely the sunlight streaming in through the window would've reduced you to a silhouette? Either that or the A590 has a very good flash!

You have a beautiful daughter, but look slightly reminiscent of the monster(s) in Carry on Screaming.  Someone had to tell you...

I'll echo 12th's post and say what a beautiful little girl you have.

Gonna break some hearts in 15-20 years......

Those are particularly fetching socks.

I'm sure I've said before that your wife looks decidedly familiar - either I've met her before or I know someone that looks just like her, I've never been able to put my finger on it.

Edit: having not seen Carry on Screaming, I've just looked it up. Twelfth's not wrong...

Cheers - for some reason I can't be photographed without looking like an axe murderer!

What I cannot believe is how level Lu gets her photos - almost all were nearly totally level, at least as level as the average adult manages!

Digital cameras seem to really get kids excited, because they can see the picture straight away I suppose - a great way of children 'seeing' things.

Why do you have a sofa in the kitchen ?
Frank Bullitt

'cos it's a holiday cottage...

Ah...! Here's me thinking I missed some major re invention of kitchen layouts.

Some splendid pics there.

If you think you have problems in front of a camera, ALF, you should see the difficulties I have in avoiding blinkling just as the flash goes off. It took more than 20 attempts to get one done for an id badge at my client. Last week I struggled to get something for the new passport I will be acquiring on Thursday. The results are not appealing!

Aww...
