Spotted: Jaguar F Pace

Two, in fact. First was a white one in the dusk on the A46 which was unmistakably a Jaguar even from a distance, but the colour did it no favours. The second sighting was yesterday in the car park of our Chipping Norton store where I had gone to get a Chrtsimas tree. A black one this time and it looked good. Very good indeed, if rather large. The interior was two tone red and black and looked a nice place to be.

I didn't know they had even come out!

From the pics, it looked like one of the nicest looking SUV's considering some of the abominations out there. Quite pleasant even... Doubtless it is very dependent on spec/colour as usual...

Not out until next Spring, but I live within a short driveof Gaydon so we have a number of JLR employees living in the area. The black one had 'Prototype Vehicle' written in small script on the bonnet.

Andy spotted one a couple of months back and you're right ALF, it is very spec sensitive!

Nice Guy Eddie

Er, that's massively disappointing. The fully loaded concept ones I've seen have looked amazing
Martin

Very.

That's an (optional) 19" wheel, which is the standard size for all trim levels other than the S which gets 20".  The ones you've seen in pictures such as the launch edition are on 22" wheels, a £1200-1600 on the S and up to £2400 on the other models.

Probably had a large red push in emergency cut off switch on the dash or console too. I think these prototypes and test mules have to.

Which owners will be very proud of until they get the bill for a new tyre!
Martin

I did think that, but I've had a look and they're cheaper than the tyres for the 535d.

Those are 19s?? They look like the proverbial shirt buttons!!
Martin

It does.  It's the smallest wheel available and the 255/55 tyre won't help, but like a lot of new cars, it's been designed to look good on huge wheels.  The biggest wheel is a 22" with 265/45 tyres, so still a reasonable profile.
Alf McQueef

They had 22" wheels? Blimey! I hope the production ones look a bit better than that even in basic spec, the wheel arch spaces are massive. The full fat ones look like the nicest SUV I have seen in a while - possibly ever.
