So it is Fisichella

Fantastic news for Fisichella, I guess an opportunity that he just couldn't turn down, gutting for Force India though.

As it said in the report there was no financial incentive for them to let him go so I wonder what's in it for them?

Good for Liuzzi as well. Not really had a fair crack at F1 yet.

Five races to go. Anyone betting Fisi reeling off a string of results for the rest of the year?
Dr. Hfuhruhurr

Not really, he's always been a driver who only raises his game for one or two races a season.

A bone tossed to Bernie in the war with Max by any chance?

Looks happy, doesn't he?

Who'd loke to be in the pits when he comes in after 1st practise and says

"F*&! me my old  Force India handles better!"
Big TC

With Force India's performance at Spa, he might even be better off in one at Monza.... It does seem to have a fair turn of speed - regularly top of the speed traps. And speed is definitely a pre-requisite at Monza, n'est pas?

Fixed your post, Nick

Feck me, I disappear for a week and the world turns upside down again. Having heard nothing at all about what happened at Spa, I sat increasingly wide-eyed through the recordings of qualy and the race on Saturday, before powering up the interweb to discover that Fisi is now a Ferrari driver.

Good on him - he's put in some giant-killing (and frequently unsung) efforts in the Force India over the last couple of years. I think he can do well as long as he deals with the pressure - not a strong point during his time at Renault.

Timely, also, for Liuzzi - a fine driver who deserves another crack at a race seat.

Liuzzi has absolutely got to impress in the 5 remaining races, otherwise he'll be permanently doing sportscars in the future.

Adrian Sutil is no slouch, however, and will be difficult to out-qualify and out-race, I should think.

Indeed - I'm actually wondering if it's Liuzzi who has the bigger mountain to climb this weekend.

I don't doubt it. Fisichella has raced 2009-spec cars throughout the season, Liuzzi's experience of them will be limited at best. His first aim is to be better than Badoer.

I hope he won't.

He was going to be my pick for the bonus question for Monza.

If Liuzzi makes Q3 at Monza, that would be a bloody good effort notwithstanding Force India's current turn of speed.

I hope Fisi does well, he deserves the Ferrari seat after his performance at spa. He's always been a good driver, he's just not always had the best car beneath him. The great thing about this season has been the good drivers shining through, rather than the usual grid being dictated by how big a team you raced for.

Silly me. For some reason I was thinking Q3 was the first bit , i.e. Liuzzi would assume the Badoer position.
