Selling my LX2.Panasonic LX2.
I've owned this camera from new and it's less than a year old (I got it in June 2008.) It's unmarked and in it's original box with everything that came with it. Everything, including the box, is in as new condition.
This camera is unusual in that it can shoot RAW as well as the usual JPEG in 16:9 (wide screen,) 3:2 and 4:3 aspect. It's an outstanding compact camera with fully automatic and fully manual modes and an image stabilised Leica lens. (Leica also rebadge this camera and sell it as a Leica.)
It is a lovely black metal bodied camera with a very nice lens and display screen and I'm only selling it because I have far too many cameras and I've only used it a couple of times since buying it, so it may as well go to someone who's going to use it.
PM me if interested. Despite not being here much these days I'd rather sell it to someone here than on ebay. I thought that £175 would be fair.

I might well be interested Alan, I'm looking for a camera for mum, will be her first Digital camera, is it user friendly enough for a (digital) beginner, although not a complete photography beginner?

Hmmm....
It has the usual full auto mode and image stabilisation so if you want to use it as a good quality point and shoot you can. There's a dial on the top to select the mode.
Here's a review... http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/PanasonicLX2/
The one in the review is silver, mine is black. Dunno about a camera for my mother, but yours may be different as she's not new to photography. I have to be honest and say that if I was buying a camera for my mum I'd buy her this... http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canonsd1100is/
As they say... "It's the camera you'd buy your mum."

PS. As I said, you can use this as a point and shoot but I see it more as a landscape camera. I bought it with the intention that I'd take it out when I didn't want to take my DSLR, but I just end up taking my DSLR.
The 16:9 sensor is unique, although it can be set to the more normal 3:2 and 4:3 aspect ratios.
The review (as far as I remember) says that the flash isn't powerful enough, I disagree, and it has +/- 2 stops adjustment, and indoors I'd turn it down for a more natural look rather than a "oh my God he's used a flash and lit up the whole room" look.
Maybe you could show her the review?
