Looks ridiculous.

Love it!

I loved the 70s-80s Trans Am and its Camaro stablemate. Almost all will be shit heaps by now so a new one is a good idea.

FYP!
Blarno

A definite retro step too far.

At least it has a decent amount of power.

No matter how crap they may be, I think there is something in all of us that wants a big V8 and that wonderful noise. It's primeval.
Frank Bullitt

I quite like the current Camaro, but I can smell that pile of poo from over here!
Martin

It's a bit too much for me.  The all new 2016 Camaro is very nice, but it needs the sports exhaust option, not all the American V8s sound great and their aren't many left.  It doesn't look right seeing a Cadillac with a big 2.0T badge on the back.
Giant

Not keen on that especially, but in this modern boom for muscle cars, why hasn't Pontiac done this themselves?
Martin

Pontiac doesn't exist as a brand anymore.

What?! I had the new version of this down as my next car

Me too. But as a 17 year old new driver, they were a bit out of my league at the time. And I doubt they've aged well. Best left as an unblemished rose-tinted memory I suspect.

Scouse = no.1 suspect

I preferred the earlier type like the Brewster Green bullnose in "McQ" or the white one in "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot".......preferably in SD455 spec

When I bought my Mach 1 Mustang I narrowly missed out on a Boss 351. Still pleased with my purchase until I got to drive a Formula 455 Firebird owned by a guy in the local American Car Club. These cars were so cheap in the early 80s so I got to live out my V8 car ownership dream early on in my driving times

That's racist that is! Picking on scousers, as if we all nick stuff. I'm now going to sue the forum for hurt feelings. What's the name of the solicitor that the bloke from top gear used?

My teenage self would be very disappointed in me for not knowing that!

Don't be daft Scouse. If I was being racist I'd post a pic of a Pontiac up on bricks...
Michael

The first stage of solving a problem is admitting you have one.

Yes indeed - Detroit totally lost the plot after about 1970
