Renault Clio 1.5dci ExpressionI've had to use our Swindon depots pool car today, a 2008 Clio 1.5Dci Expression 5 door.
First impressions. Everything feels thin, light, hard and cheap. It's light and airy, but the seats are flat and uncomfortable and coloured inserts in upholstery is a big no no for me.
It seemed nippy and comfortable enough as I drove through town, but boy is it underpowered and it wallows and rolls around quite badly when you get a move on (which takes a long time). It's really, painfully slow as well. It can easily maintain 85-90 leptons on the, but takes hours to get there, I was comprehensively out dragged by a Renault Traffic earlier!!
I don't like small cars (at least not small cars that feel small to drive) and this has done nothing to change m motorway y mind. If all you had to do was drive a couple of urban miles a day to work it would be fine, but for anything more, it would drive me mental. I'm in Swindon tomorrow so will keep it until mine is fixed, but if it isn't going to be ready tomorrow, then it will be replaced by a hire car.

The sticker on the inside of the drivers door says its a 1.5DCI 68 Expression.
It actually goes quite well for a car with only 68hp. Still dog slow, but not as bad as you'd think when you're up to speed.

The 86hp is the one to have in Dynamique spec, I haven't actually driven a 68 in the Clio III.
The Dynamique will have better seats, soft dashboard material, chrome effect bits and a differently styled, more expensive looking door card.

Well it couldn't be worse than those items on the Expression!!!
Not a bad spec through overall, with remote locking, electric windows & mirrors, front fogs, trip computer, decent stereo (only front speakers though) lots of body coloured plastics, silver door handles etc. Not keen on the blue seats or blue trim, but my (very girly) PA loved it. That says it all really!

The earlier Expression with the beige interior was a far nicer interior than the one you had. The blue trim and snazzy blue seat zig zag things look cheap and nasty.
