Red Dead Redemption

Anyone got this yet, I've had it for a few days now and it's fantastic.

It's very similar in gameplay to the GTA series of games, both produced by Rockstar, but the atmosphere of the game and the sheer size of the world is fantastic.

There is so much to do and the interaction with your character and the other characters in the game is brilliant.

Highly recommended.
Matt

Yeah I've had it since the launch day, but haven't been on it for a week.

Bloody love it.

Anyone who is anyone has got this pretty much.

I finished it last week and was totally blown away by the ending, left me with some very mixed emotions.  Got some more to do but having a break from it for now.

Would like to do some multiplayer though.
Matt

Between that and getting online to play FM3, we''ll be in our 50s.

That's the thing, there are so many games out there and online play etc that I never get the opportunity to complete anything as I only get on the X-Box a maximum of an hour a day, having said that I'm off tomorrow and apart from the gym in the morning I've got the whole day up till 6.00 to myself.
Matt

I'm still unemployed, so if Dradus, TimR or BeN can make it, I'd be happy to play some FM3 or RDR between yourself and DC.

That means I'm a nobody then

I can't break the Call of Duty habit at the moment

I keep seeing Matt online with Forza (although apparently he's only ever in the paintshop and never competes ) and mean to fire it up again but COD calls me back.
Matt

I was worried that I've spent 256 hours in the menus alone, but that is when I've got it running and I'm online on the computermabob.

I've raced less than 20 times online with this game and somehow found time to do over half the races. To be fair, I played little else for the first few months.
Tim

256 hours

Makes my 150 hours playing COD online look feeble.
Matt

But the cars look so pretty in the menu.

I've discovered how sturdy XBox controllers are as I launched mine across the floor in frustration at the weekend on and once I'd prised the left shoulder buttons back out it still worked perfectly
Matt

My Mac keyboard didn't fare so well when I got wound up recently and bent in the middle, whilst two buttons went for a Burton.

The cut hand sooo wasn't worth it.

I don't have and Eggbox or PS3, so this will pass me by. I still happily play GTA SA. Assuming I'm not on quakelive.

Does your shoulder button squeak as it goes in?  I've got 3 pads and they all do it.  I complained to Micro$oft about my original Xbox pads, the wires frayed on them and they stopped working, they were out of warrenty but even so ive got megadrive controllers that still work.  They responded by apologising and offering me two free games as a goodwill gesture, which was good of them.
Tim

No squeaks from the controller.

The casing does feel a bit loose though and I've still got a bruise on my knee where I thumped the controller down about 2 weeks ago.

I think I need to stop playing COD.

I did actually look Forza out yesterday.
