IIRC didn't Renault appeal against their exclusion from the upcoming Valencia GP next week?

When is the appeal due to be heard, i assume it must be this coming week?

I fully expect them to have the ban recinded and be hit with a fine instead, what say you the F1 experts, how do you see it going?

I think it is being heard on Monday 17th.

I would guess, and the general concensus is, that it will be overturned.

A spokesperson of the company who promotes the Valencia event said that he has heard from every side that the ban will be lifted. Corruption?

A fine will most probably be issued.

Some Renault F1 trucks were seen in Valencia, but they have to prepare anyway, the verdict will be announced on the 18th which is very close to the Valencia weekend, so they need to be prepared.

Now that Schemacher's out, the ban will definitely be lifted. IMO.

If Renault are thought to be considering leaving F1 I'm sure the ban will be lifted and they may get away without much of a fine and perhaps instead receive a suspended sentence for a year or two?

Trouble for Renault is they probably dare not appeal in case the ban is carried over to Spa which is the home GP of there sponsers. When speaking to a mate at Renault he had over 600 guests booked in for that weekend which I guess is more important then upseting a few spaniards.

I was waiting for that. I didn't think I need to spell it out that Spa, being only 150 miles from Amsterdam meant that it was their home GP.
