RDQ - How many eCoty have you had?

The list is here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Car_of_the_Year
I've had 4. Fiat Uno, Punto x2 and Alfa 156.
Chip Butty

Mondeo, Punto and Focus

and the two 3rd place Foci (2005 and 2012)

Get me
Frank Bullitt

One, the mk1 Punto
Tim

Only the Punto (1995 but mine was a 1994) for me.

I also had a Stilo - 3rd place in 2002.

2015 must've been a bad year if the Passat won
Nice Guy Eddie

Mk3 Golf
156 as co car

Can't quite believe the Mk3 Golf made it
JohnC

I've owned the nice round figure of none (of the winners).
Racing Teatray

Two - a Mk3 Golf GTI and an Alfa 156 GTA.

Three if you count my wife's Fiat 500.
TreVoR

Just one - a Mk1 Clio.
Blarno

Of the winners, I have owned:

Mk3 Escort. Opel Kadett (Mk2 Astra - 2 of), Peugeot 405

Of the runners up:

Mk1 Fiesta, Peugeot 205, Citroen AX, Opel Vectra (Cavalier Mk3), Nissan Primera, Peugeot 406, Golf Mk4, Mondeo Mk3.

Sorted.
gooner

Three. Panda and mk 3 and 7 Golfs.
PG

Two 1sts - Rover 2000 (well I had the V8); Ford Scorpio
One 3rd - Vauxhall Calibra
Chris M Wanted a V-10

Wife's first car in the UK was a used first-gen Uno, and I've owned a first-gen Scenic, so 2 between us
BeN

I was about to say zero, but then I saw that the Prius had won (albeit two generations ago in 2005).
cbeaks1

4 different Ines - Clio, Mondeo mk1, Focus Mk1 (2of) and an S-Max mk1
Martin

I've had two winners, the 405 and Megane.

Also had a couple of second places (406 and 2006 Passat) and a third place.

There is a lot of dullness on that list.
Bob Sacamano

Can't believe the 306 isn't in there.
Blarno

I thought the 309 was a winner at one point as well.
Stuntman

One.  My first car, a Fiat Uno.  Two if you count its replacement - a facelifted Fiat Uno.

And another ECOTY (Evo version) - being the GT4!
gonnabuildabuggy

I'd expected it to be none but I was surprised it was a few.

Me

Omega (Co Car)
405  (Co Car)
406 (Co Car)
Mondeo MK3
Golf MK2

My family

Rover P6 (Grandpa)
Renault 16 (Grandpa)
Fiat 127 (Mum)
Ford Scorpio (dad)
Golf MK1, MK3 (Mum)
Focus (Son)
Renault 5 (Wife)
Boxer6

Of the winners; Uno, Megane and Golf - but not any of the models that won!

Second placers; A '74 Golf and the Vauxhall version of the '92 Astra.

Third placers; a 1973 version of the '64 Imp, a late-on version of '81's Metro, '84 Golf and a '04 Golf (the '05-plate GTI I had a couple of years ago).

Looking at that lot reminds me I've had some seriously crap cars!!
Giant

Just the current 'champ' for me.
Twelfth Monkey

None, though Mrs 12th had a Punto.
Racing Teatray

You bought a Prius?

I think I would rather walk.
Roadsterstu

One winner - Yaris.
One 3rd place - Mk1 Fiesta and an almost 3rd place - it was the Volvo 760 but I had a 740.  So, so close....
Grampa

Imp, Calibra and Megane - I've also owned each of the Astras that haven't made it on to the list.
Frank Bullitt

1993 I think, but didn't get a look-in with the bubble micra I suspect. Those bloody French, always taking it
simonp

One, the 2006 Clio. I've also owned a Golf, an Escort and an Astra, but not of the version that won.

edit: two Astras!

Maybe, because the ZX was released the year earlier and shared so much mechanically on the same platform it was overlooked.
DetmoldDick

I could n't believe how many on the list I have owned.
Winners:
Ford Escort III
Fiat Uno
Mk1 Clio
Alfa 147
Fiat Panda

Runners up:
BMW1600 (2002Ti)
Golf II
Lancia Thema (well actually a SAAB 9000)
Ford Ka
Dr. Hfuhruhurr

I first thought this was how many evo COTY's have you had? In my case, two runners-up: M3 and GT3

How many Porsches or BMWs have you had do you mean?
Martin

Only 1 x 4th place in ECOTY.
Rodge

Mondeo, Focus and S-Max.

All cars that fulfilled their jobs really well and were all fun to drive at the same time. Worthy winners imho.
Tim

Shouldn't this post be sent to the EVO letters page

Nah, the average letter writer has more evo cars than that at any given time, plus a Cayenne "for the wife"
Thomas Magman

Had a couple of second placers

Do still have a car that Car/Fast Lane/What Car/Autocar said beat EVO magazine's 'Best BMW M car of all time'
