Some fantastic shots there Matt. Looks like a good evening.
Matt

Thanks.

It was good to watch, but around 50,000 people were having to leave the city centre at the same time and it was hellish.

Won't be going back tonight!
Yabbo

awesome shots!

what kind of exposures were you doing? and what aperture? always mean to try an get some firework shots but come novenmber when they have the shows i wimp out and sit at home in the warm instead
Matt

Mostly 2 seconds at F8.

I'll definitely be going to some in November
Yabbo

Yeah I will make sure I get out this year (not that we have very spectaclar shows round this way!) got to replace the tripod by then. Do you use a remote shutter or do you just have very steady hands?
Matt

Remote shutter. I can hand-hold for 1-second at best.
Yabbo

ah ok (not used a remote shutter since college!) better than me in the hand steadyness lol
the old man

Yabbo, with the camera mounted on a tripod you can always use the cameras delayed timer, saves the cost of a remote release., or I have a Hahnel radio remote release, cheaper than Canon's wired remote.
