It was good to watch, but around 50,000 people were having to leave the city centre at the same time and it was hellish. Won't be going back tonight! |

awesome shots!
what kind of exposures were you doing? and what aperture? always mean to try an get some firework shots but come novenmber when they have the shows i wimp out and sit at home in the warm instead

Mostly 2 seconds at F8.
I'll definitely be going to some in November

Yeah I will make sure I get out this year (not that we have very spectaclar shows round this way!) got to replace the tripod by then. Do you use a remote shutter or do you just have very steady hands? |

Remote shutter. I can hand-hold for 1-second at best. |

Yabbo, with the camera mounted on a tripod you can always use the cameras delayed timer, saves the cost of a remote release., or I have a Hahnel radio remote release, cheaper than Canon's wired remote. |
