Petit Le Mans

Not sure if anyone else saw any of Petit Le Mans from Road Atlanta yesterday. but it was a thoroughly wet affair. Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet and Richard Lietz won the race in the No.911 991 entry. That doesn't sound impressive until you realise they won in a GTLM car, against much faster DP and LMP2 prototype machinery. I think this one of the great achievements in modern motorsport.

Tandy was just masterful in the wet throughout the weekend. I'm sure 2016 and beyond will bring many more victorious moments for Nick, but it is hard to see how 2015 can be topped. He won Le Mans 24 Hours outright, won races in WEC LMP2, took five wins Tudor GTLM wins - and additionally won Petit Le Mans in a lesser category of car.

I would be surprised if Tandy doesn't get a full-time Porsche LMP1 seat for 2016.

I'll be amazed if he doesn't.  He's been fantastic this year, getting the most out of everything he's driven.
